Hi, I'm considering booking a Grand Suite Stateroom on the Independence of the Seas. These cabins all seem to be located on deck 10 and because I prefer the middle of the ship, my best choices would be either cabin 1598 or 1298. But, for some reason the deck plan has these two Grand Suites drawn a little smaller than all the others. Does anyone know if these two cabins are actually smaller or is it just the deck plans are not drawn to scale?
I am booked in cabin 1598 on the Liberty of the Seas (a sister ship of the same class) next year, and I had exactly this question. I received a response from customer service on October 1 saying in relevant part:
"Although the stateroom 1598 may look smaller on the deck plan, it is the same size as the other Grand Suites onboard the Liberty of the Seas. Additionally, this stateroom has two twin beds (converted into a Royal King) and a double sofa bed. If you need additional assistance, please contact us at 1-800-327-6700. One of our representatives will be happy to assist you."
I also found one website with pictures of this cabin which looked to be standard sized for a grand suite. Enjoy your cruise!
