Question Allure or Oasis

I've decided to give Royal after 13 years and like either Oasis or Allure.
Who here has sailed both and what are your thoughts on the two ships?
I'm leaning toward Allure but what to give Oasis a look too.

Allure and Oasis are almost identical...Allure has the Dog House and Oasis has the Seafood Shack.......Allure has Chicago Oasis has Hairspray......Allure departs Sunday Oasis Departs Saturday.....Allure is larger by a few inches and newer.

I would go by what rate you come up with and if you want to go East or West. Sometimes during the same week one will price out cheaper then the other depending on how many cabins are still available.

Had awesome cruises on both Oasis and Allure.....Can't go wrong with either one....

Having only been on Allure, I would choose that, but I bet either would be a great cruise. Both do alternative Eastern/Western, one goes from Sat/Sat and Allure from Sun/Sun. I would pick the one that best fits your schedule....

Looking at the ocean balcony for Allure, what deck is better. Such a huge ship lots to think about. I'LL be talking to my TA when she gets back from Tahiti.

Both ships are fine - with minor exceptions, they are identical, so it's really not a big deal as to which one to go on.

As for which deck, personally, I prefer decks 9 - 12 - any of those is fine.

I've been on both. Six of one, half a dozen of the other. Going on Oasis again in a few weeks. Just look at the price and which itinerary you want because the ships are essentially identical. It's like asking do you prefer the Carnival Fantasy or the Carnival Ecstasy.

Ok thanks. I'll look and explore decks 9-12 and see the pricing for each ship. I'm determined to have one booked before my December cruise......Stacked will take on a whole new meaning for me.

If budget is a major concern, you might take a look at their Central Park or Boardwalk balcony cabins. Often they offer some really good rates because those aren't as in demand as the oceanview balcony cabins.

Personally, I prefer the Central Park balconies because they're more quiet than the Boardwalk balconies. But then again, if you get a good location for a Boardwalk balcony, it makes it nice for watching the aqua show and people watching.

Your agent will be happy to point out the differences and the rates.

The price is no big deal and I definitely need the ocean balcony. I couldn't imagine not sitting on it late at night taking in the ocean breeze, its a must have on every cruise but thanks for the suggestion.

I have sailed both and I would take Allure - it has some newer features, better restaurants, etc.

I also have sailed on both. You said if I had to make a split second decision which one would I choose well, it would be the Allure. I had a wonderful time on both ships but seems to me like I had more fun on the Allure. On the Oasis we had a Jr. Suite but on the Allure we had the Crown loft Suite. That's probably is what made the difference. You won't go wrong with either one. Enjoy.

I forgot how much I enjoyed the churrascaria restaurant on Allure. Definitely not to be missed.

I just came back from my second cruise on the Oasis today ( April 20th. ), I have sailed on the Allure as well.

I love both of those ships and I highly recommend cruising on them.

They are the best ships out there.

Since I have cruised twice on the Oasis, I will have to sail on the Allure again to even the score.
