I enjoyed a ride out to Harrison's cave in Barbados...It is another one, you can do on your own, grab a cab there. There is also a good beach not too far from the pier...Boatyard, lots of activities there and you can actually walk back to the pier from there.

Please try to see more of the island than just the more commercial South Coast beaches...by all mean just relax down there if you wish of course! One popular trip is snorkeling with the turtles...the caves are OK.. but seen one cave....There is a wildlife reserve that is OK for a short visit if you were passing but not worth bothering with otherwise. The wild windy East coast is a different Caribbean feeling, the waves at North point where they say the Atlantic meets the Caribbean is a sight to see for a while. There are some lovely old houses there, lots of history in Barbados. It's difficult for me because I love the place so much but more for something I can't explain. Bridgetown has a charm of it's own but really just another town...probably more "city like" than most with some larger shops. People do walk to the beaches of Carlisle bay & beyond from the ship but a bit far for most...

Barbados is one of our favorite ports.

There is plenty to do - including beautiful beaches, tours, and shopping. Taking a rum factory tour isn't bad either (really enjoyed ours).
