Explorer of the Seas: September 8, 2013 New England Itinerary Change

Our travel agent just advised us this morning that a slight itinerary change has been made by RCCL. The port time in Halifax has changed, and the port days/docking times for both Corner Brook and Charlottetown have been altered. How this affects pre-booked shore excursions is not clear at this time.

Did they state a reason for the time changes in these ports??? Wonder why?

If you booked your excursions with RCI then they will make sure that all excursions that are booked are changed also. If the new times aren't agreeable with you in the past they have refunded the price of the excursion. To be sure ask your agent to check on this for you.

Donna, no reason was given. However, I did check the 'tides' for those ports thinking that may have been a factor. From my observation of the latest tide tables for the areas in question, it did appear though that the originally scheduled dates and times involved either a low tide period, or a period in which the water was receding. Then again, maybe there is a more logical explanation.
