OUTSTANDING OASIS of the Seas 10/26/13 Halloween Cruise
Vampires, Monsters and Zombies oh my...
Another wonderful cruise on Oasis. There is no way to be bored on an Oasis class ship that is for sure.
Service was Great, food was good and the weather was perfect sunny and high 80's into the 90's all week.
The Aqua show was amazing and the headliner was very good. Missed all the other shows due to other things listed on the Compass that I wanted to attend.
Embarkation was a breeze as was Debarkation. Had a 9:40am flight out of Fort Lauderdale and got off the ship at 6:30am and was sitting at the gate at 7:30 with time to kill before the flight. I always book the 9:40am flight home when cruising on Oasis class.
The music and dance around the ship was excellent. From Jazz, Oldies, 70's, 80's, Rock & Roll, Latin, Country, Motown, reggae and club music.
The ship photographers do an excellent job with pictures. I took the 15 photos for $189.00 package. And I love that pictures go in your folder and don't have to search around for most of them.
This was my first halloween cruise and it was so much fun will be cruising again on halloween next year. I'll have a separate post for Halloween with some cool pictures.
Pre cruise hotel stay was at the Hilton Garden Inn....I would recommend it and will stay there again. Room was nice and clean. There is a restaurant and full bar in the lobby and is walking distance to the Oakville shopping plaza with plenty of stores and some restaurants.

Red stripe Beach....Got this excursion through Royal. The beach was
close to port. It was nice, close and inexpensive.
Beach chair was $5. not a big deal. Pickup time was at 11am and you go
back to the ship whenever you are ready they have vans running every half hour.
Welcome to Falmouth
My home at Red Stripe beach for the next few hours...
Oasis docked in Falmouth
After Red Stripe beach I did some shopping at port and found my
friend Delroy which I met in March while on the Allure. I told him
whenever I was in Falmouth I would say hello and checkout his wood
carvings that he makes and sells. He remembered me from March and
remembered what I bought from him. I bought three items from him on
this trip....A very nice guy!
I booked an excursion with Royal called "Salsa, Salsa, Margarita"
It's rated online as #3 out of over 150 excursions in Cozumel. There are
two dancing chefs that teach class. You learn and make red salsa, green salsa, Guacamole, margarita, strawberry margarita and at the end of the class
a salsa dance lesson. It's was alot of fun and I do recommend it. My red and green salsa were so so. My guacamole turned out very good. Unlimited margaritas too...:-o Dance part was your very basic salsa moves and some did not participate they just watched.
Welcome to Cozumel

We've been back for two weeks ... my kids can't stop saying "Goodday Dave".
Girlfriend, you had a good time!
Last but not least Halloween events were split between two days the 30th and 31st.
On the 30th was the Cruisers Costume Parade were cruisers in costume paraded around the promenade while judges were watching and picking favorites.
During the afternoon of the 30th poolside out comes a caveman and gets the party started poolside with all the line dances, conga line and a soul train line. It was soooo much fun.
Then still on the 30th during the late afternoon crew members dressed as zombies were walking the promenade....
OMG the zombie got me...:-o:xLOL:-?
and another zombie...:-o
Cruisers got to dress in costume for 2 days and many cruisers were dressed and many went all out with some awesome costumes. During the week about 20 cruisers me included learned the Michael Jackson Thriller Dance taught by Sophie and we performed it on Halloween day at the start of the night time dance party held at Studio B....What a Blast!!!!
On to Halloween Day.....
On this day was the night time dance party at Studio B where the winners of the costume party were announced.
There was also a kids in costume parade in the promenade.
Also there was Haunted House from 7:30 to 9:30 in the evening....And let me tell you it was so very good they made me jump and scream a few times in there.
I'm thinking ok a haunted house on a cruiseship can't be that good....well it was excellent they had real people in there scaring cruisers as they walked thru.
Haunted House pictures.....
The Kiddie Parade.....
And now was my time to finally be "CQ Cullen"
Who is the first human I see when I leave my cabin??? Lee my cabin steward...
DJ Rohli was DJing the halloween party...He is excellent...I've cruised with him on Allure and glad to see him on Oasis....He spins good stuff...

CQ, I have to say.... Wow!
I am really impressed by all those pictures of your fabulous cruise.
It's clear to see that you had plenty of top notch fun aboard the Outstanding Oasis. :D :D :D
A separate suitcase just for shoes I bet????
Love your reviews!
Looks like you had a blast...good for you!
A fellow cruiser came up to me and she asked me "did you pay for this cruise?" now I'm thinking to myself this is a strange question from a stranger...:-? So I kindly replied "yes I did pay for it" She then replied "Royal Caribbean should pay you to cruise". I love that idea! :-P:p she then said she always sees me having a blast and dancing everywhere at first she thought I was part of the Cruise Directors Staff.... LOLroflLOLrofl .....Nope I'm just a cruiser that loves to dance and enjoys cruises.
On the return trip I put the shoes in the carry on.
The shoes add weight to the suitcase rather quickly....rofl:twisted::rolleyes::)
You definitely look like you had a fabulous time. Those costumes!!! I wouldn't have expected such elaborate outfits. :)
Yes it was a Fabulous time...Always wanted to do a Halloween cruise...I plan on taking more halloween cruises in the future...8-)
There were many more great costumes that I did not get around to taking a picture off.
Costume winners were....(all pictured above) The man in the bird costume, the guy in the mouse costume with the big light up head, The Hulk and Ted (the girl in the teddy bear costume).
In the kids category the winner was a boy dressed as Michael Jackson....he was very good.
I was on the phone today with a royal agent checking out different rates she informed me I have 24 more points until Diamond plus....:mrgreen:8-)
It will be exciting to achieve that status. ;)
