Default Anthem of the Seas home port

Royal Caribbean announced that Anthem of the Seas will be based out of both the UK and Florida. Looks like she is taking Indy's place....where will Indy go??

Wonder what the Itinerary plans are for Anthem when she sails out of Florida?

So exciting to have the Voyager, Freedom and Oasis class and soon the Quantum class

Looks like we really need to enjoy our ride on Indy coming up in March 2014....because it could end up almost anywhere next. I've read rumors of everywhere from Alaska to Asia.

Those were just rumors.

But we are very happy campers to hear Ft. Lauderdale will get Anthem for the non-summer months. Wise move on RCI's part.

So many great ships to enjoy. Of course Royal ships are the best.

Here's an idea. Since the Anthem is replacing the Indy and they're in the process of enlarging the Panama Canal why not bring the Indy out here to the west coast and do an 8 or 11 dayer to the Caribbean. DW and I have sailed on the Indy and she is a great ship. Perfect for the port of Los Angeles. We're starving out here. What a plus that would be for us. No airfare. Just a thought.

If Royal finds demand in the West Coast, I'm sure that they will pace a ship over there.
I would love to do another cruise in that area myself. But only be on Royal or Celebrity.

When RCI was here in the port of LA their ships went to Mexico. Because of the troubles there the demand to go to Mexico was very minimal and it fell off every year. RCI pulled out of the port of LA. At one time we had the Monarch and then the Mariner. Would be nice to have something out here.

Between the addition of Quantum, now Anthem, and eventually Oasis III (whatever it will be called)...as well as some other shuffling going on in terms of ports....

I wonder if perhaps RCI might just consider doing something in the L.A. area again perhaps in 2014-2015.

I agree that the time might be good to re-cultivate that market for cruisers. Right now...the choices of Carnival and others seems far less than stellar.

If the ships in that area make money, they will bring in more ships.

If there is enough demand they will have two ships.

What about the third Quantum Class ship, sail out of LA up to Alaska and back on 14 day trips. That I would book.
