Default What Ship do you recommend?

We would be going with my Dad and my twin brother who is 13 and we are more for the ship then the ports and it would be great if it left somewhere around the northeast...any replies would be greatly appreciated

Really depends on when you want to go since some ships are not there during the Summer months, where you want to go, and how long you want to go for.

But check out some of the larger NCL ships out of New York as well as the some of the RCCL ships out of Bayonne.

Most likely you want one of the newer larger ships that come with water parks or ice skating rinks, and maybe a surf machine.

Allure or Oasis are the first two ships most first time cruiser tend to head for; given their size and amenities; they are not to be missed. Keep in mind any sailings out of the NY Area will have rough waters; so if you don't have "sea legs" you may want to fly to FL to pick up your ship.

RC / Splendour of the Seas is my favorite. Sailed in 2010 and would do it again in a heartbeat.

I also enjoyed sailing Spendour of the Seas out of Venice.

Since when do 13 year olds get to pick the ship? You are lucky enough to go on a cruise.

I have to agree with Oasis or Allure, but they both sail out of Florida....I would think kids your age would absolutely love these ships, parents as well...Is the option of driving down to Fl. possible?

Teenagers I would recommend Oasis or Freedom class. Have a great cruise whichever ship you choose.

Teenagers now a days have computers, laptops, smartphones, designer clothes and even get to pick a cruise ship vacation. Teens have no idea how good they have it.
