Entertainment on Quantum Class
Following up from last nights (Afternoon if you were in the USA) Google+ hangout (Full 45min version here if you want to see it in full Live Google+ Hangout with Kristin Chenoweth and Nick Weir - YouTube ) Royal Caribbean has posted two nice explanning videos of some aspects that made me think WOW, these new ships are having all the toys and they have got the right people involved to make the most out of them. Here are the videos for you to watch they are only a couple of minutes to watch and worth it if you are thinking of sailing on Quantum Class ships in the near future.

The Robot screens look like something I want to see in action and can not wait to see what RCCL can do with them.

Wow, is all I can say....I have always said, Royal Caribbean has the most amazing entertainment on the seas, and still do....That is one of the many reasons I enjoy their ships so much.

The only problem I have now Donna is that I have a year to wait to experience it all. Counting down the days. I will post pictures and an honest review once I have completed my first cruise on Anthem. Yes I have two booked. One for 14 days with the Wife and another short break of 3 days with friends.

Hi Sp,
I think the wait may be worth it....Can't wait to hear all about it.

Just a little update.
Royal Caribbean has posted a video on their UK YouTube channel of Jason Bradbury (from Channel 5's Gadget Show) reviewing the entertainment tech on Quantum.
Jason is well known in the UK for his love of gadgets and presents a very entertaining show. I'm not sure if he is known that well outside of the UK.
The new information he presents, that I find amazing is about Two70 and it's Vistarama projection system. We all know that the glass windows at night show video displays on them. I love the picture seen of the fish tank. What Jason tells us is that it is a 114 foot wide projection and operates at a resolution of 12K.
To put that into context, a HDTV is 1K, UHD is 2K, new HDTV's are 4K. I have only seen in trade shows of a 8K screen by LG (80" in size and costing 25,000 - $35,000).

This Vistarama image is going to be awesome. Then matched with the RoboScreens and entertainers, WOW, just WOW!
Check out the full 2:28 minute video here:

Very exciting. I'm there December 1st. Can hardly wait.

Thanks Saus - that is incredible news, definitely. These robo-arm things are going to be very fun to watch - a new form of entertainment never seen before. It's like part visual art and part entertainment.

Combined with the show it will be interesting, definitely. What a concept. I am a little surprised about doing something so obviously hi-tech at sea. It isn't like you can pick up spare parts in the middle of the Atlantic.

**** UPDATE ****

Royal Caribbean are announcing more details about Quantum/Anthem of the seas on Bank Holiday Monday (UK) or Monday 25th August (USA/Other).
Hopefully this will be the full and final deck plans revealing the missing 5 public areas that have been marked TO BE ANNOUNCED.
The wife is hoping the Cupcake Cupboard is one of them, but really not sure what the others could be.
Exciting times ahead.
