Default New change to diamond and above benefit

Any thoughts to the new change for Diamond & above that will be rolling out fleet wide over the next year ? I got an email for RCL for my cruise on the IOS next 02/28/15. Along with the Diamond Lounge I will have 3 vouchers added to my sea pass everyday for 3 free drinks at various bars and lounges around the ship during the evening. This does not include the MDR & Windjammer. The vouchers will expire at the end of the day & 3 more will be added the next day.
Sounds like a new plan to help clear out the crowded diamond lounges. I myself love it !

it is not new. Has been used on some of their ships for at least the last 6 months. They have had that on some ships already. It really works great. Don't have to use the Diamond on Concierge Lounges if too crowed and you can be with some cruisers that are not Diamond. You can still use the lounges and get all the drinks you want without using the card, but you have that option.

Are there special hours in the evening to use the drink vouchers or are they good all day long ?

it is when the lounges are open in the evenings for the "Happy Hours". On Navigator it is 4:30 to 8:00. It may vary slightly from ship to ship, but usually around that time.

That plan sounds good to me.

I agree - good plan. Three drinks is more than enough for me any night (and not too many nights in a row).

Cool

If three drinks are not enough, I can get my DW to get me hers because she does not drink at all.

It's 3 drinks between the "happy hour" period of when the Diamond Lounge is typically open; you have to "wait" 15 minutes between ordering your drinks and their is a limited "menu" of drinks that the coupons are good for, which is defined in a letter delievered to your cabin on Day 1 of the cruise. I think it's a great change/benefit; solves the over crowding issue on the smaller ships and it's a bonus on Majesty who doesn't have a lounge at all.

No drink of the day. Here is the current menu of Diamond level drinks.

The last 13 days I have enjoyed the drinks that are available outside of the Concierge lounge....One Cosmo with Chocolate covered strawberries at 7pm in the lounge then at 8:20pm another Cosmo at whatever bar is the closest at the time....

Default Diamond drink vouchers

So it sounds like I will be able to order a Martini ( Finlandia ) in the Viking Crown or Schooner during the lounge hours ?
Are the vouchers good in the Specialty restaurants ?
