Default Coupon Book

Hi all,

I have read where RCCL is not doing the coupon book that used to be in your room for Gold level and above. They are now loading your card. How do you know what is on there now?? I would also give my husband my casino coupon because I do not like to gamble. How would I do this?? We are on Alure in March

Thanks,

Linda

Yes that is true. All of your "perks" are loaded onto your seapass card. On my Quantum cruise there was a sheet of paper in our cabin that outlined what your "perks" are. If it is not there you can get a printout from guest relations. Also every time you purchase something onboard the person that scans your card can see all that you are entitled to. This paperless practice is on all RCI ships now. As far as you giving your husband your casino credit, you can redeem it for him or just let him use your card.

Thank you,

That sounds great!! I always have my card with me but not the coupons. This seems easier as long as I remember what has been loaded on there!!

Thanks Tons,

Linda

I agree it's hard to remember everything. I carried the sheet in my pocket and checked off the items that I used. If you and your husband are the same C&A tier remember your perks are times two.

FYI - They no longer have "match play" coupons either way. The only casino coupon is the free coins to "spin to win".

It's been a few years, but do they have a tux deal loaded on the card?? My husband has gotten a tux on the last few cruises so he didn't have to bother packing formal clothes. I saw on the Allure you can pre order your tux by giving measurements. Just didn't know if we waited to get on board we would find a discount. On another note, are there two formal nights or is it one formal and one semiformal? what would be the difference? This is for a 7 cruise.

Thanks so much

Linda

There have been so many times, I left the coupon book in the cabin and wasn't able to use the coupon, this will be nice, already loaded on card...

There is no tuxedo discount. In fact I don't recall seeing where you could rent one onboard anymore. The link to onboard rentals is no longer active on the Royal Caribbean website. I think they've gone entirely with pre-ordering online prior to the cruise so they are delivered on embarkation day from a local formal rental shop.

A seven night cruise has two nights where the suggested dress is formal. Note the word is 'suggested', not required. The other five nights will be either "casual" or "smart casual", which really mean the same thing to most of us. I can tell you that nobody in the dining room management cares as long as it isn't shorts and a t-shirt - and even those are frequently seen these days.

Very good to know that they have to be pre ordered. Thank you for the heads up

Dave,

I found this site through RCCL.
https://tuxedorentals.rccl.com/tuxedo/tuxrental.nsf

I think it is still active. I was planning on using it for my March cruise. Do you know how many "formal" nights are on an 11 day cruise? Thanks

Right, but what I'm saying is you have to order it before the cruise. You can't just decide "hey, I think I'll rent a tux for tonight" and head down to the promenade to get measured for one. I don't think they are carrying a supply on the ships any longer.

11 night cruises usually still stick with 2 formal nights, although some in Europe will have 3 nights.

Dave, Thanks. Sorry if I misunderstood about the tuxes. I never knew that you could get one onboard. If I was going to get one I always ordered pre-cruise. Thanks for the info.

This is why I like the concept of Dynamic Dining, where I can preplan my gala dinner nights (in the Grande on Anthem) on the days I want and know exactly how many gala nights I will be doing.
On my 14 night cruise I have booked only 2 gala nights, normally I would have had 3-4 gala nights.
