On another board there is an article from today's Miami Herald nnouncing the sale of the two Seabourn Goddesses to a Norwegian consortium; the sale is effective August 31, 2001 and passengers already booked on later cruises are protected with either refunds or generous incentives to rebook on the triplets. It seems Seabourn is returning to its original concept. Comments?
We just returned from the Sea Goddess 11 yesterday. While on it, they announced the sale of the ship to the Norwegian Group which includes the original owner. Our trip was wonderful. The service is outstanding. They mentioned that it will go into dry dock in the spring for a couple of months with heavy renovation expected. (I feel only the bathrooms need some revamping as they can be a little on the tight side) It was most enjoyable to not only enjoy the ports, the food, but expecially the service. We have been on Princess, Crystal, Radisson and soon will be going on Silver Seas. I would definitely do the Sea Goddess again at the drop of a dime. I think with the new owners, it can't help but even get better. but then again I don't know how you can make it better.
