Re: Any alternative to bus ride from Ensenada to San Diego?

I really don't think so Bruce. Norwegian goes to Fanning Island which takes 1.5 days to get there and 1.5 days to get back to Hawaii. And from what I've heard from numerous people it's a waste of...

Re: Letting Carnival book air..good idea?

I let Carnival book my air when I took the cruise from Hawaii to Ensenada last year. Basically I was not left with any choice since we had to take a 3 hr. bus trip from the pier in Ensenada to San...

Re: Sea Sick

If you can't sail in possibly rough seas, then I would stick to NCL. The Pacific waters can be rough sometimes as they were when I was sailing from Hawaii to Ensenada last October.

Re: Hawaii cruise/car rentals

I was on the Carnival Spirit last year around Hawaii and actually renting a car was really the only good way to get around the islands. In Maui we docked on the other side of the island from where...

Hey Robert...we were traveling from NJ too. Long trip! We sailed from Hawaii to Ensenada and had 5 sea days. By the second day it was very very windy and cloudy. I tried to brave the winds and...

Re: Re: Hawaii Helicopter Flights?

If green is what you want to see then Kaui is the place to go. I just think seeing Volcano's and real lava flows would be just a little more exciting.

Re: Hawaii Helicopter Flights?

I think Hilo because you get to see Volcano's National Park and see the lava flow.

Re: Any alternative to bus ride from Ensenada to San Diego?

I took the bus ride from Ensenada to San Diego. It was MISERABLE! The worst of it all was they woke us up at 5:30 by starting to call the different color tags. Our color didn't get called until...

Re: Carnival

I've been on the Spirit and Destiny. Loved them both and had a great time on the cruise. I'm sorry to hear you won't be sailing on Carnival anymore because you'll be missing out.

Re: The Cool people on ship

I'm sure they were immature but so was I when I was in my early 20's. If that's their idea of a good time then so be it. It's their vacation and their money. Next time I'd say not to pay so much...

Carol,
I went on that same cruise last October for my honeymoon. We had a great time in Hawaii however, the 5 days at sea got a little boring for us. I think because the closer we got to Mexico,...

I did that cruise last year for our honeymoon. We had a great time but the 5 days at sea got very boring, especially because the weather getting closer to Mexico was cool and not sunny. I'm sure...

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Carnival Shore Tours in Maui

I don't mind at all. I love talking about my honeymoon! Since we were in Maui for two days, we rented the car the first day and returned it that night. The second day in Maui we did the downhill...

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Carnival Shore Tours in Maui?

Debbie,
When you get off the ship there will be car rental shuttles to take you on the 5 min. drive to the airport in Maui to rent a car. If I remember correctly we used Budget rent a car but there...

Re: Re: Re: Re: Carnival Shore Tours in Maui?

Ok, from Kahalui we had to rent a car. At first we asked one of the cab drivers to take us but it would have been something like $50 each way. Plus, we were concerned about cathing a cab back from...

Re: Carnival Shore Tours in Maui?

We didn't receive our documents until about 2 weeks prior to departure. I was getting very nervous! Anyway, the Old Lahaina Luau is not offered through Carnival and you will have to book it on your...

Re: Has anyone ever been to?

In Maui, go see the Old Lahaina Luau....it's the best on any of the islands. In Hilo, take a tour through through Volcano's National Park or take the helicopter ride through the park if you really...

Re: Balcony doors Spirit

If you leave the door open then the air conditioning goes off. Not sure where you are sailing but it may get too hot in the room and they don't recommend it.

Re: Re: Help, What Should We Do In Curacao?

I've been to the Seaquarium in Curacao. It was really nice and I'm sure a 5 year old would love to see the sea animals. Also, there are beaches near by if you wanted to lounge around too. Shopping...
