You might want to ask your TA to link your bookings anyway so that you can be assured of being seated together in the dining room. If they are not linked, they would have no idea to seat you...

I haven't been on the Sensation yet but I would assume it is the same on most ships. Usually one side is smoking (Port , I think) and is allowed in your cabin and some bars. Dining rooms and lounge...
