On the last cruise, a friend had a few of those, and regretted it later - she vowed to never have another one..... it was pretty powerful! And she's not a lightweight by any means!

Thanks, hschipper1, I wasn't thinking of that - we have a few getting ready, so the travel(folding) dryer we bought for last cruise will come in handy in the stateroom while others are showering.

I picked a cabin based on my knowledge of where I like to be. I had heard of a few guarantees that got bad cabins, and I didn't want to take a chance, seeing as this was a holiday week.

I'm on the 3/27 sailing of the Victory, had a 6A on the Rivera deck, assigned cabin. I just went into my account on carnival.com and I was upgraded to an 8B Balcony room on the Empress Deck!!
