Our last cruise on RC, my Dh rented a tux/shoes on board. We always go all out on any cruise:) Some may not dress up, but you get that on any ship.

The soda card is GOOD in the dining room. Its only good for fountain drinks, no cans. We just cruised in Sept, so I can guarantee they are good.

One thing I can recommend is to book excursions thru the ship. Yes you may pay more than the tours offered off the ship at the pier. But if you go on your own and miss the ship you are responsible...

We always get on as soon as we arrive, usually 11:30/12. Sometimes you may not be able to go to your room till a certain time. But most want to go up to buffet to eat anyway.

We have taken a taxi from Miami to Miami pier, it was under $20. From Ft Lauderdale to the Ft. Lauderdale pier was under $15 with tips.

Just got back from Adventure, they have the cheap thin pillows. I missed my special pillow at home. We were in a junior suite, so was hoping for better pillows, but just run of the mill hotel pillows.

Last I was on Carnival, it is mostly sandwich type stuff. Not any good dinner stuff. Mostly just for those that need a snack. But might have changed, has been 2 or 3 years since we have done Carnival.

I am not going to wear them. I have two long formal gowns with open toed shoes. So I dont think I need them, plus they are uncomfortable. I wear the thigh high ones when I have too.

We have been to Belize twice and never a problem. One excursion, we did the cave tubbing and other was mayan ruins. Never been to Panama, so no clue on that one.
