Oceania is our preferred cruine line. Less passengers, but (practically) all of the amenities. Open seating is so much better unless you like sitting with the same people night-after-night saying...

On the Caribbean Princess it is fine to wear nice shorts and a shirt for breakfast & lunch. I do not recommend swim trunks for men or cover ups for ladies.
