Re: last call cruises were $%!*holes

Wow, I don't think heatherismad was being unreasonable like the examples you (OU Fan) posted. Bad customer service....go ahead and defend it if you like.

Re: Ever get bored of cruising?

It's not so much as being bored as it is not fulfilling. I much prefer a land vacation where I can REALLY immerse myself into the location. Cruising is really all about the ship. For instance, a...

Re: taking the toddler

This is what I wanted to see; mothers (and fathers) planning for when their kids are fussy. Like I stated before, I've been a mother for many, many years and I'm not a child hater. I just want to...

Re: In-Cabin Babysitting on Summit?

I think it's a bad idea....you don't REALLY know this person and your children are soooo young. If you don't mind my asking, why would you take children that young on a cruise, anyways?

Re: Explanation: What is “formal” for men.

Wow, rochester, for the price it would be worth going to New York! My hubby is kind of hard to fit (not fat, but extremely muscular) and wouldn't mind dressing up if he was comfortable. I make sure...

Re: last call cruises were $%!*holes

OSFintexas, Give me a break! No, I am not, and have not been a travel agent (wages are not high enough!) What this person did was basically tell Heatherismad that SHE DIDN'T WANT HER BUSINESS.

Re: Explanation: What is “formal” for men.

Rochester, you're right, if the 17 inch collar (you meant collar, right, not color?) is too tight then get an 18 or 19 inch.

Try finding one! I usually get hubby the largest neck size I can and...

Re: Food

Oh, everybody is a food critic! And not just on cruises, I might add.

I've been feeding my family of 5 for decades, so I sympathize with anyone who has prepares & serves food only to receive...

Re: last call cruises were $%!*holes

As someone who works in a customer relations position, I am horrified. I am sure her immediate supervisor would LOVE to see a copy of the e-mail advising you to book with a different agent.

It...

Re: Ship is so old!

Isn't it "funny" how a major football/baseball stadium is old at 10 years also? But the high-school stadiums...now that's a horse of a different color.

Re: taking the toddler

Cruisingsoon, those were a lot of excellent suggestions. If I may add: while choosing snacks at Port of Call oyster crackers or goldfish crackers are well liked because of their small size (small...

Re: taking the toddler

I think Zack phrased it great,

"To avoid ticking people off, remember what it was like before you had kids and how someone's crying baby disrupted your meal and peace of mind. Be prepared to...

Re: Info cruise Panamacanal

If you're staying in Ft. Lauderdale for three nights, PLEEEASE do not stay near the airport or the cruise docks! (Which is why many cruisers are not impressed with Ft. Lauderdale; they see the seedy...

Re: New Reasons to stop tipping on Cruises!

To Quote PapaBill in an earlier post:

"By the time I get to the ship I have almost handed half that amount out in tips anyway.
Long term parking at the airport, tip $5 to the bus driver who...

Re: Attn: Smokers

Paul, I agree. Smokers should leave their lighters in a designated area before takeoff, and other passengers landing could pick them up. Recycle.

BTW, It is okay to smoke on the beaches in...

Re: Ncl Dawn hit rough seas will not be in NY until Monday

There was an article in the New York Times today about "rouge" waves. They are more common than was thought before.

Re: ive decided to go '' semi/casual for formal night''.

Re: Over or underdressed?

I'd rather be over-dressed than under-dressed.

BUT, while on vacation I'd rather rent a beachhouse where I can do what I want day or night, wear pajamas to stroll on the beach, teehee. I don't...
