My children are grown with kids of their own. Yes, I spanked them. I was big on discipline. I found that if you disciplined early enough you set a pattern and later on you reaped the benefits.

We were on the Pearl to Alaska in early May 2009. They offered a behind the scenes tour but wanted $55 a person. We declined. I found that NCL nickel and dimed at every turn.

I know this totally dumb but here goes: If you choose to tip the butler, concierge, etc. up front before the cruise how do you go about doing this? Just hand them an envelope or what?
