Playa Sol is a beuatiful beach with LOTS of activities. You can take a taxi there (about $7). What time depends on whether you like shopping in the heat. Have fun!

I agree. St John is most definitely the better of the two islands. If you do decide to stay on ST.Thomas, then go to Coki Beach. I took some great underwater pictures there while snorkeling.
