I didn't find the drinks all that expensive. Around five bucks a drink isn't bad, with plenty of good bottles of wine in the $30 range.

I don't have a problem with it. I can't carry my own liquor into Yankee Stadium. Besides I think that people with an unlimited supply of bozoe could pose a problem for otehr pasengers.

You can pay down your room bill during the cruise. I had a good run at the craps table and was able to pay it down in cash :D on the Dawn. I don't think you need to make restaurant reservations...

I found the food on the Dawn to be good. The Mexican restaurant had some good shrimp fajitas. The sushi bar wasn't bad either. The quality isn't gourmet but still tasty. plus Blue Lagoon pork bowls...

If food was my main priority on a trip I would chose a vacation to the Napa Valley or even Chicago. Choose a cruise because it fits a budget and you often see multiple locations without unpacking.

I agree with Nita. It is good for a quick snack, usually post beach. I enjoy the pork noodle bowl and the fish and chips.
