We are sailing on the same cruise. As far as drawer space - since the ship is pretty new there is very little information, but any info on the Zuiderdam or Oosterdam can be applied to the Westerdam...

Our son was 21 when he sailed with us to Alaska last year on a HAL ship. He loved it. Did not feel out of place and had plenty of conversations with older folks. He would go on HAL again.

Check out the Westerdam sailings also. She is the newest ship and the prices are great! We just booked our second cruise Dec 12 sailing on the Westerdam and my DH already has the Cruise catalog...

When we got on board ship, I phoned the spa to book a massage for my husband. No problem and we were able to get a 10:30 a.m. booking for the folllowing morning (an at sea day)

We bought a leather covered album with the state of Alaska imprinted on it. After filling it with our cruise photos, we ran out of room (it holds 280 pictures and has a slot for description of each...

Smoking Area in Vancouver Airport

For those who are smokers, there is a smoking area in Vancouver - Right around gate 76 for US flights, there is a cafe that has an enclosed smoking area.

Seems to me that getting an expired passport renewed is the way to go. We did ours by mail and it was quick and easy - got the form off the Immigration website. Better to be safe than sorry @ $7.50...
