Just wanted to provide some interesting info regarding this cruise.

Here's the postcard I received today. It asks people to call within 48 hours to 1-855-394-9948. The ports of call are the same...

Re: Re: First Cruise

We're packing for our first cruise this week. Man, we are overpacking to the gills! But, we don't know what to expect; we have the room, so we figure we'll go with it. We can just drive to the...

Re: Re: RCI Sea Pass question

Or use any credit card that provides points towards air miles, hotel stays, whatever. Just keep the cash in the bank, and pay it the moment you get home via the internet.

Re: casino odds

The odds are the same on the table games as in most other casinos.

On the slots, everyone has their theories on the ones that pay best, or are hot, etc, etc, etc. In Vegas and AC, it's all urban...

Re: Re: Re: Age questions on RCI

When renting a car for normal reasons, most car companies will only rent to people 25 years of age and older. Many will rent to 21 and over, but there's a hefty fee involved. Very few ever rent to...

Re: Re: Does Royal Caribbean Really Care about Its Loyal Cus

The new ship is going to be sold out regardless. Because you cancelled your rooms, that allows another couple to book that room. The cruise line ain't losing a dime because of your cancellation

Re: VOS and RCL

When I read about complaints and all, I tend to take them with a grain of salt. Remember, there's maybe several dozen people chatting on this board, but yet RCI has 19 ships averaging 2,500 people...

Re: Re: Age questions on RCI

I guess it comes down to how strict RCI's drinking and serving policy is, and it's up to each individual bartender. It's possible they may rely on that Seapass card - maybe when they scan it, it...

Re: Passport Needed??

You can get a passport in 2 weeks. You pay extra (I think $30 or so) for the speedy service, but well worth it if it'll make you feel more comfortable. I'm going on a cruise in September, and...

Re: Re: Where else do you think the ship could go?

Funny stuff. Why is it when one has a differing view, they are immediately termed as working for the company they are siding with? So, to answer you all, I have never worked with RCCI.

Here is...

Re: Re: VOS Crybabies

Just wondering - if the cruise line chose a different route, and went to the Bahamas, but yet a similar route was charging 50% less, would everyone still be complaining?

Re: Re: Re: Where else do you think the ship could go?

To make it easy, I'm just going to provide several answers/comments here:

Kellie: Forget about reading the fine print. Just skim thru the stuff you're signing first. You paid, what, $60 for...

Re: Re: Big BIG problem : Voyager diverted from Bermuda to C

As for the PR issue, RCCI will simply keep their mouth shut about the whole thing. While they may have 2,000 upset people on board, like it or not, they are still getting a 5 day cruise. Every...

Oh... my...goodness...let's blame EVERYONE BUT YOURSELF. If you can't trust your 19 year old, who is legally an adult, to handle himself responsibly, then you better prepare to baby him for many...

Bon Voyage Gifts

How does one go about sending a bon voyage gift to themselves or others? Is there a charge for the service? Does the gift have to be available on the RCI Gifts and Gear site, or can I send anything...

Re: Re: Wine Prices - Asti Spumante

Thanks for that list - unfortuanately, doesn't list bottle size!

Prices at my local liquor store (in NJ):

750 ml bottle: $11.99
1.5 L bottle: $24.99

(note screwed up pricing - 2 smaller...

Re: Re: Man over board! Brilliance!

It's up to the news bureaus to report the news. If the news doesn't report it, it isn't the responsiblity of the cruise line, the police department, or anyone else to get the message out there.

Re: Re: Booking while on a cruise

Is the on board ship credit per person or per trip? How are the prices of the trips - the same you would find by looking at a travel agent or RCI's webpage?

Re: Re: What happens if there is a hurricane?

I booked a Sept cruise knowing the hurricanes could impede our trip. However, the price was great, we can drive to the terminal rather than fly (leaving from Bayonne), and we just want to cruise -...

Re: Re: Re: Voyager ?

50% - 100%? If it was underreported by this amount, 2 of those 3 weeks there still would've been under 100 people affected.

3 people affected out of 3,000? 1/10th of 1%. Seasickness would've...

Re: Re: The big question? How do you get from the Bayonne N

Remember, the cruise companies are only going to do something if its profitable. They run shuttle buses from the airport to the port frequently because a traveller has purchased an air/cruise...

Tipping first day

I'm thinking of asking our cabin steward to empty our mini-fridge the first day and providing us with some wine glasses (as has been mentioned on these boards). Should I provide a decent, generous...
