A lot more credit cards now have trip cancellation/interruption as well as medical. The annual fees are a bit higher, but even if you travel once a year you still come out ahead.

I can't comment on your cabin specifically, but I have never had a problem in any cabin. I have even been under the windjammer cafe and never heard a sound from above except when out on the balcony.
