The lumberjack show is steps away if your ship is parked at berth 1 or 2. If you're parked at berths 3 or 4, it's about 1/2 mile or so. You don't really need to book it through the cruise line...

If you're stopping in Ketchikan, go to Soho Coho. It is an art gallery with local art from Ketchikan residents. They sell all sorts of stuff besides art. It is located on Creek Street.

I used to live in Anchorage. Eat at Glacier Brewhouse or Moose's Tooth. They both brew their own beer and have great food. Glacier Brewhouse is a little more "upscale" but still very laid back...
