I have beeen to Play del Carmen twice, I would recommend either Xel Ha or Excuret (sp) they are both great. Excuret has an underground river to snorkel in.

My 13 year old son got on an hourly pizza feeding schedule, no joke. And if you know how hard it is to keep a teenage boy feed you can image how hard it was to break the hourly feeding trend. lol

Does the boat stay with you the whole time if you choose to snorkle from the boat. I have heard that some excursions drop you off, with a guide and the boat leaves and then comes back for you.

We went the first time the first of October and the weather was great, but the PV did stress that the ports could be changed if the captain felt it unsafe to travel to certain areas.

I'm not sure but I think I read somewhere that the past guest parties are only on 7 days and longer cruises. Could anyone let me know for sure.
