Re: Is Celebity better than Carnival?

DrKoob- I'm sorry you had such a horrible time on your cruise. Thanks for the detailed post. My family and I would never dream of sailing on Carnival, and your post only reinforced that thought. ...

Re: wheelchair accessability

Hi Pitter-
I believe if you go up to the top of the webpage in the yellow stripe and click on people you will have the option of going to a message board that people with disabilities use to talk...

Re: why take children on cruises?

Can we just shut the door on this insane post and forget it ever existed? It's getting old.

Re: First-timers questions.... Century Eastern & Genera

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Not quite sure- I think it depends on the ship, time of year, etc.
4. I've booked excursions through the ship (we went snorkling in St. Thomas) and it was excellent. Very well run...

Re: Less than expected

Well I think it's obvious that this was either a bogus post or the person is really starving for attention. Didn't sound right to me from the beginning.

Re: Internet fee

I just returned from the Zenith a few weeks ago. There are several locations where the internet is available including the show lounge and library and I actually never saw anyone using them. I...

Re: bring iron or not? Help

My family and I own a travel steamer and have always used that to remove the wrinkles due to packing. Of course, if needed the ship's facilities are available also. Happy cruising!

Re: Less than expected

I agree. It is kind of difficult to offer suggestions without knowing a little bit more about the problems you encountered. Sorry your trip was so horrible!

Re: why take children on cruises?

Is it just me or has this absolutely ridiculous post already been beaten to death? Some people have a problem with children on cruises and some don't. We are never going to be able to reach an...

Re: LONG 7/3 Zenith Review - Not as good as you may think

I don't think I remember you. Perhaps you remember me... my sister and I were fighting each other for the first round of the Pillow Pole Pool Party when we sailed away from Bermuda. And up in the...

Re: Celebrity and Princess

Sorry, all. I didn't do my homework and I didn't even see the post that's already on the board about the same topic. My fault.

Celebrity and Princess

I have sailed on Celebrity several times and although I am relatively happy with the cruise line, I am at the point where I would be willing to try another line and I have heard some great things...

Re: LONG 7/3 Zenith Review - Not as good as you may think

JPinCT- I was on your cruise and I agree. The only difference is that I am an experienced Celebrity cruiser so I had very high expectations because I know what they're capable of. I had posted a...

Re: Cova Cafe?

On the Zenith I didn't see any pastries available at the Cova Cafe, but I could have just missed them. There was a charge for the coffee and coctails though, I know that. Happy cruising!

Re: Cova Cafe?

Hi FranD-
I just returned from the Zenith (sister ship to the Horizon) on Saturday. On the Zenith the Cova Cafe is a lounge/bar very similar to the other lounges onboard. It is located on deck 8...

Re: why take children on cruises?

As someone who practically grew up cruising, I don't understand how anyone can say that children shouldn't be taken on cruises. Yes, they are perfectly entitled to hold this opinion, but I personally...

Re: Just back from Zenith- fire away with the questions

Glad you enjoy them, Don. I guess it's just a hard adjustment to make when you're used to a full out buffet and midnight and it gets reduced to hardly a snack. I was disappointed that Celebrity has...

Re: If you're going on the Zenith soon

Carl plays various instruments and sings and Karen sings and plays the piano/keyboard- not quite sure if/what the difference is. They perform everything from classic rock to coctail music. They...

If you're going on the Zenith soon

Just a side note... If any of you are going to be sailing on the Zenith any time soon, be sure to check out Karen and Carl in the Rendez Vous lounge before dinner and then most of the night. They...

Re: Just back from Zenith- fire away with the questions

Danalan-
I hadn't heard that rumor. It seems silly to me that Celebrity would allow the quality of the cruising experience to decrease just because the ship is no longer going to be around. To me,...

Re: Horizon

I have been on the Horizon twice, both times in an outside stateroom and I think you will enjoy it! The rooms are not exactly huge, but you aren't going to get that on many cruise lines. The...

Re: Will I like the Century?

Cruz Crazy- I was in love with the Horizon and then I went on the Century and liked it 100 times more. I would be suprised if you didn't enjoy the Century. It seems to have the same smaller ship,...
