Re: Cruise Director on Star?

Annie,

Just got back from the Star repo cruise on Sunday. The CD was Kieron Buffery, who was by far the best CD in our 6 cruises. He was at ease in front of an audience and is actually a good...

Sorry to say we won't be joining ya as "been there - done that!" We took a chance on sailing the NCL Sun on the coastal in September, after RCI and Princess.

Re: Re: Which airport & hotel in port of LA

tnt,

Well, asked the wife if she wanted to stay in downtown Long Beach prior to our next cruise and her reply was "what, and give up the view like that?" She's right, and since the "Passport"...

Re: Which airport & hotel in port of LA

Carolyn,

We stayed at the Coast Long beach a couple weeks ago which was a nice place. We had a "Bayview" which did have a good view of the downtown. You can walk to the Queen Mary in about 15-20...

Re: 4th floor vs 11th floor

Gayle,

We got off the Sun on Oct 1 and the main passenger embarkation deck is Deck 5. Tenders were from Deck 3. Our cabin was 4030 (Outside mid-ship) and it was very quiet and smooth. So if...

Flew over Mt. St. Helens yesterday afternoon and not much happening, just some steam on the top. Interesting nonetheless. Not good for a picture as we flew to the east of it and the sun was low in...

Re: Re: people who go on cruises every month

Re: Re: people who go on cruises every month

pg,

The idea of flying to Florida from here is not a good one. What do we have, AC twice a week? You either have to go through "The Centre of the Universe" <G> or Seattle for any deviation in...
