costa maya - chacchoben? or progresso - chichen itza? am travelling alone w/ two kids ages 12 and 9. which port is better for an excursion other than the ruins?

The age requirement thru the cruiselines seems to be 12 -- and my daughter will be 9. How does a family of three (one adult and two kids) get a good experience when there are limitations like this? ...

I just used icruise for my cruise. Had no problems booking the cruise - but I did have problems trying to book the return transfer and getting it - never got my voucher, and now icruise is saying...
