cruising during Thanksgiving from the West Coast

Hi All,
I'm thinking about taking a cruise over Thanksgiving from either LA or SD. Looks like there are lots of choices and the prices are not bad for a holiday cruise. The Star Princess looks like the best of the bunch.
I'm 51, a non smoker, and pretty easygoing. Usually I book the 'cheap seats' (inside cabin). I'm looking for a female roommate. Mostly love walking the decks of a ship and enjoying the sea.
