Barbara,

I am 51-years old, non-smoker, social drinker who has a balcony cabin booked on the Brilliance of the Seas on May 26 to the Mediterranean for 12 days roundtrip from Barcelona. The itinerary includes Nice, Florence, Rome, Mykonos, Santorini, Naples, and Sicily. I need a roommate! Do you think you would be interested? The total cost per person is $2144 including port charges, taxes, fees, and insurance; airfare is additional. If you would like to learn more about me, go to www.travelchums.com/croozbabe. Give me more details about yourself.

Hope to hear from you.

Debbie

Bob,

I'm not sure if your question is addressed to me or the person who initiated this thread, but I would consider a male cabinmate however I just had to cancel my cruise last Friday to stay within the timeframe to avoid a penalty for cancellation. I didn't have any luck in finding someone to share...

I have now found a 14-day cruise on the Millennium on Oct. 24 covering practically the same itinerary that has piqued my interest. The fare for a balcony is even less than what I was paying for the Brilliance so I'm considering booking it IF someone wants to share the cabin with me. What do you think?

HI Barbara:

You don't mention your name, so it's a shot in the dark when it comes to age compatibility!

I'm a SWM, 64, nonsmoker, social drinker, conservative dresser, college grad, financially comfortable and retired.

I have a Deposit on the Maasdam for May 29th out of Boston for 7 days to New England and Canada and back to Boston. I live on the West Coast, but was born in Cambridge Mass. I'm flying in a week earlier and doing some sightseeing up in NH!

Share Cost is about $1,000, Cruise Only for a Category L Cabin. If interested, contact me ASAP and we can discuss each other's personalities and likes & dislikes!

Best Regards:

Robert

I saw your posting on the cruise mates web site and
thought I would check and see if you have booked
anything yet. I am a princess circle member looking
for a roommate on the Star Princess departing Apr. 22
for 12 days. It leaves out of Rome....hits Malta,
islands in the Med, Athens, and finally back up to
Venice. I have traveled several times to Italy and am familiar with the cities. I am a straight female...31 yr. old professional..very
independent...just trying to save money and I don't
plan to be in the room that often. I do not smoke but I do drink some. A married couple
that are friends of mine are going. We were going to
try to share a mini suite with 2 rooms but it is too
expensive per person. They can travel as a couple for
$1200 each. I could do the same if I can find a
roommate. If I travel alone the cabin price is $2500
and if I wait for Princess to pair me with someone in
a room, the price increases to $2900! I really don't
understand that. If you are interested, please let me
know. We cannot find any friends that are will to be going for 12 days on a cruise.

Hi Barbara,

I just found this side for single travelers or I would have contacted you earlier. I am a single senior who is attempting to see as much as possible while the body is still working... every trip seems a bit more of a challenge. I don't smoke or drink, but contribute more than I should to the casinos.

Currently I have a trip booked that you may be interested in. It is a trip to the pyramids and short curise on the Nile. Departing May 11. The literature on the internet indicates that it is fully booked, however, I did authorize them to room me with another single traveler. Since I have not yet received credit for the "single up-charge" I am assuming that there may still be that space available.

Having searched for "reasonable" priced trip that would get me to the pyramids, I feel that this one is an excellent price. ($999 with air from JFK, $85 a/p taxes, $25 visa, and I did get the insurance of $99).

Here is the link for the trip if you are interested. If you are interested, certainly may use my name as where there would be space: http://www.friendlyplanet.com/pyrami...egypt-tour.asp

Does not appear that you can click on the link from this message. The source is friendlyplanet.com and the tour is the Pyramids, Nile cruise.

Please let me know what you decide to do. There are other trips I am looking at in the future.

Betty
