single 40-60+ swingers

Hi: Does anyone know of any fun singles cruises for the 40-60+ age group, M/W??? Either an organized singles cruise or a ship that is really geared towards the single older adult fun loving solo singles. Most single events cater to the 20-30 something groups. If I'm going to spend good money I want to be with a group of people around my age who really like to socialize, dance, gamble etc. etc. etc. and simply enjoy life.....Any information will be helpful; thanks, Patricia

Celebration 9/25 is rumored to be the quiet cruise for singles, over 50. I signed on, in the spirit of adventure during the storm season.

I don't think Patricia means "that kind" of swinger. If she did we would have pulled the post.

Patricia.... just so you know, the word "swinging" has a certain connotation that is never associated with proper upbringing in a Catholic school. It usually describes a lifestyle depicted in those free newspapers you see on big city street corners, the ones with the girls in sparkly bikinis on the cover.

I sympathize with your problem. I am a single in your age group and I find there are very few older singles on many of the cruises I've taken.

Perhaps we should explore the possiblity of developing a site or ask the Cruise Mates Captain to set up a special board area for older singles.

Incidentally, I'm cruising the Hawaiian Islands on NCL Wind, 9/11/04 and Mexican Riviera on Carnival Spirit 11/9/04.

Hi, folks. I got a good laugh from these messages. I saw Patricia's original post and thought she was interested in meeting some of those "optional lifestyle" types. Now that this has been cleared up, I would be interested in a a message board or scheduled chat for mature solo travellers. I am a single female, age 55, retired, and take at least two solo cruises per year. My next scheduled trip is Celebrity Summit, 25 Oct 04.
