To all of you who are seeking someone to cruise with so not to have to pay the singles supplement. there is an excellent article on this site posted by Pat Hagan titled Singles Supplements March 25,2004 look for it and read it. Some lines have a guaranteed share plan this means if they don't find you a roomate you get the cabin to yourself for the price of cruising double! Some of the lines that offer this are Holland America and Princess, as well as others, not Carnival. But beware they only match you by gender, not age, check to see if they do by smoking preferences. From what I hear you usally get the cabin alone, but if not it's a crap shoot, however if you would rather put up posts here to try to find your own roomate I understand and this way you can see if you have things in common first. Good luck solo travelers.
Im glad it helped Matt, I was excited to hear about this from another cruisemate and wanted to share this information so tha others who travel alone can do so. Good luck and if you try this make sure to post your results here, maybe when more cruise lines realize they are better sailing with one per cabin, rather then zero they will make things easier for all of us. I hope the other lines jump on the band wagon too!
Wow, I saw that article , but I didn't see it being offered on the celebrity cruise lines. If it ia offering for Royal Caribbean, then I know it would also for celebrity I just have to talk with some one else. thanks.
