Default Middle Aged Aussie looking for an adventure

Hi
I am a single female Australian in her 40's looking for an adventure. I am wanting to take a singles cruise in the Mediterranean mid 06. I will be a first time passenger .... do i try and organise a traveling friend before i go? do i just book on a singles cruise and take my chances? do i go for the traditional cruise and try and hunt out singles?
I would like to hear from anyone who been on a cruise and can help me ..

Ciao
Vonnie

Default Like a "pick up" cruise.......

Vonnie,

It's not my style.......The 'single' cruises can be fun but they can also be a pick-up jungle......

Depends what you are after.......how old you are etc.

Good luck.........!!

Wow another Aussie...lol. What's up with these Aussie guys! A pickup jungle?? Hmmm...sounds interesting....I'll do a single cruise if I have to, when your travel partner won't go with you what's left for a poor woman to do??? ....I've already been told travel alone...SO with those encouraging words, I WILL!!! Nice seeing you 2 Aussie men...woo hoo...

Default Wanna have fun?

Vonnie,

"Pick up jungle"............"Meat market".........It's all the same! You board the ship and the guys are "hitting" on the females on the first night for a night of "frivolity" and MORE!

It's just not my scene! If it doesn't work out, you end up being 'dumped' until the next guy arrives on the scene..........and so on! I am not saying ALL the guys are after ONE thing, but most are.........And remember you cannot escape the ship........it's all very close up and personal!

Remember the MALE CRUISE MOTTO:
99.9% of the people you meet on board a ship (especially if you are Aussie)- will not see YOU again and whatever "happens" on the ship "stays" on the ship!

I prefer getting to know everyone and just having 'fun' without all the "other stuff" - and if it happens to develop into something more.......then so be it! But it's NOT my priority when I cruise. I love to meet people and entertain them ALL week long........

Catch ya later..........

I've been all over the world and done plenty of cruises as well, mostly with my family or one or two roomates. I can tell you the one time I did go on a "single's" cruise, I did find romance, you might say, BIG time. The idea is if a single kinda cute woman books a cabin for herself without a roomate, it's for SURE she's looking. At least that's been my experience. (Keep me in mind for a roomate if you are going to Greece over the summer, please!)

Hi back at you Vonnie. I'm from sunny Southern California. I learned from my geography class at college that there is only one place in the world with the exact weather as Los Angeles, and that's Perth, Australia. Funny, huh. . . . .Sandy :o
