I've looked through many of the posts in this forum, and it seems that most of the original posters never respond, and least in the original post. I have answered several posts, and other than other members also responding, the original poster never seems to respond. I have met others who responded to the same post I did, and we have become cruise-mates on cruises, but never with the original poster. Is this because they have already found a cruise-mate? They cancelled the trip? Or what? Is there some protocol on here to let readers know that one is no longer looking, or that they are not interested in you specifically, but are still open to others? I am getting somewhat disillusioned with this, and interested in your experiences and thoughts. Thanks!
Hmmmm .... good points. There should be a protocol established for 1) no longer interested 2) thanks but no thanks. Maybe this is something that the Singles Editor might take a look at and hopefully incorporate it into the message board site.
I too have responded to several but have not yet heard anything back. I'm beginning to develop a complex (just joking).
Well let's keep looking.
i've been lucky on this board to find a great "cruisemate" and have cruised
3 times in two years and will be going again in sept. i do come back occasionally just to see who is still looking and to check the weird posts of one of the members. keep on trying, there are alot of success stories to go with the bad posts.
I had good success about a year ago, soon after I found this board. I responded to someone who also responded to a post wanting a cruisemate. The original poster never has answered, but the other fellow and I went on a cruise last year and had a good time. Since then, I've posted several inquires, and no response. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
