Default 39 y/o Female is on a Mission!!

I'VE HAD AN UNEXPECTED CHANGE AND THE NEW TIME FRAME IS NOT COMPLETELY SET IN STONE SO I WILL BE PUTTING THIS ON THE BACKBURNER FOR JUST A BIT... I WILL REPOST AT THAT TIME BUT, I WANTED TO SEND OUT A THANK YOU TO ALL WHO POSTED REPLIES AND SENT PMs WITH GREAT ADVICE!!

LilAsia!

And that mission is to gain as much cruising knowledge that I can on one cruise!

I’m planning on taking two teenagers to the Caribbean for Spring Break next year. In order for us to have a somewhat smooth trip I’ve decided that maybe I should go out and test the waters on my own prior to taking the family (I’m such a trooper ). Since I’m planning on cruising next Spring my funds are tight therefore, I’d like to find someone to share a cabin with AND I’d like to hit two birds with one stone by finding a seasoned cruiser … Since I’m on a mission and I’m not in the mood for love it doesn’t matter to me if you’re male or female… I’m pretty independent so one or two days of your intense knowledge and companionship is all I ask. In return I offer you one or two days of companionship (platonic, folks, purely platonic) with a fun-loving, outgoing, honest individual (with me, time will fly!! j/k) and if you ever need “alone time? of course, I can disappear and find something to keep myself busy < >
… I’m a very trustworthy person and I want the same in return. I don’t want to have to sleep with one eye open!

Anyway, to the specifics: I’ve not made a purchase yet as I’m in hopes to find a cabin mate first. The preferred time of cruising is the week of the fourth of July as I’ve already got the time off ( I know, I know… this is gonna be a tough search for me ) If I can’t find a buddy for that time frame I’ll probably be posting again but my fingers are crossed …

Non-smoker
Light drinker (he he)
Sleep in or get up? Depends on the night before (again, he he… j/k)

Okay, this is getting too long… email me if you think we might be compatible!

Cheers!!!

Default Dreams DO come true

Cruise cabin-share option.
I am a retired, DWM, 63, healthy, 6’0?, 180 lb., N/S, N/D, world traveled – all 7 continents, all 50 US states, 6 cruises. I try to cruise at least twice per year, hopefully to new destinations. My current priorities are Tahiti (r/t Papeete) and So. America (r/t Santiago or Santiago – Buenos Aires). But that doesn't have anything to do with you, unless you want it ot.

I reside in Port Richey, FL and travel to TX 4-5 times per year to visit family.

I’m seeking a M/F to share the cruise cabin fare. We can do a much, or as little, together as we agree. I am willing to mentor a ‘new’ cruiser if you wish, and have done so twice in the past. We are free to enjoy our own agendas. I have 5 cabin-shares in the past, 2 male and 3 female; some not met until onboard, all new to me. I gain my comfort through email, IM, phone calls and a short meeting, if practical. Forget any age difference - I have.

I enjoy shipboard activities, the FOOD, the SHOWS, the ports and shore excursions. Early to bed (10:30 pm), usually up by 6:30 am. I am active, open, respectful, low-volume, considerate, honest, and caring. You please be that way also. I prefer inside cabins since I spend so little time there.

If you intend July 4th this year, I think you ought to get choosing. We are LATE for that time.

If you have a destination that is burning a hole through your passport, let’s get in touch.

What's your name? Where do you live? What port do you want to leave from?
Blessings,
Dan Kelley

Default I'm ready... Let's Go!

Hi Little Asia,

Any cruise will do, anytime. Just let me know what cruise you have in mind, dates, etc.

Did 6 cruises in 2006 and have my 4th one for 2007 coming up May 27th - June 2nd

Ready to cruise any and/or all of the following: Alaskan, Med cruise, Greek Islands, Tahiti, South America or European Cruise this summer. I would like to cruise sometime between June, July and August of this year, 2007.

I have been successful in finding several cruise mates and the cruises were very nice with no problems at all.

I hope to hear from you concerning any cruise you may have in mind and perhaps we can iron out the details and enjoy a wonderful cruise this summer before they are sold out.

You can write me direct at usn_veteran@yahoo.com

I will answer any appropriate questions you may have and I thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to meeting nice people and my wish is to make friends with enough cabin mates to allow for several cruises each year.

PROFILE:

I am retired, 59 Years Young, Straight Male and live in Connecticut. I enjoy cruises and am almost always ready on a days notice.

I am looking for male or female cabin mates to meet the double occupancy criteria as a single traveler. No strings attached!

I am friendly, considerate, quiet, respectful, clean, easy on the eyes, honest and have no underlying intentions other then a cabin mate.

I am equally comfortable and content with polite pleasantries or friendly conversation, the cabin mates’ choice. I do not smoke or do drugs, rarely drink; perhaps a glass of wine with dinner and the occasional beer is the exception.

I am rarely in the cabin... a normal routine is to leave the cabin in the morning, returning for dinner and then returning again to sleep, approximately 1-1½ hours after the main show of the evening. Not much of a gambler either.

My forte is lounging by and in the pool or hot tub, perhaps joining in a deck game or water volleyball, and a little reading. I enjoy the sun and work on a tan as much as possible. I also enjoy photography and sketching for watercolor when I get back home.

Opportunities to learn about other cultures, people and visiting the wonderful sights are always a favorite depending on location. There are times I prefer not to go ashore, I stay aboard usually by the pool.

Wishing you health and prosperity and may all your wishes bring you happiness.

Sincerely,
Joseph

LA:

I'm another one of those folks who travel for adventure and to rack up as many states, seas, continents, ships, and etc. as I can. You will find as a Divemaster, Dive Control Specialist, Lifeguard, Scout Leader and Certified Fraud Examiner I live pretty much under glass. As an auditor it is also pretty much my game to drive travel costs down and maximize value. I also think as you do and scout things out before taking my kiddo on trips.

Did send a PM with my direct e-mail address. Do have a few tips. (1) If you do not have one yet, please start a passport application and get ones started with the kids since you may need cooperation if there is an ex. (2) Figure a general idea of where the spring trip is going to be and plan the scouting trip to cover that same general area. (3) Figure your potential ports of departure - nearest you are Baltimore, Boston, Norfolk and New York, but variety is limited. The closest ports with the most variety are Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Tampa and Canaveral. Once you figure (2) and (3) you should have a short list for cruise lines.

Also, figure what your teenagers are interested in - some cruise lines have more innovations (rockclimbing walls, etc.) than others.

When you come up with some potential cruises just post here. BTW, www.vacationstogo.com is one site that can bring up potentials based on your entering criteria, like a stock screener.

Dave

Another BTW:

5 Night Western Caribbean Cruise
Starting from $709.00 USD inside on July 2, 2007
Ship Name: Enchantment Of The Seas (Royal Caribbean)
Departure Port: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Ports of Call: Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Key West, Florida; Cozumel, Mexico; Belize City, Belize; Fort Lauderdale, Florida

The same cruise runs as low as $439 out of the 4th of July window. The tip here is that prices go higher if you hit spring break, or a US holiday period. (For you and the kids, for example, that would end up costing about $1,000 more) 8)

Thank you Divemaster... Daniel had been kind enough to warn me that starting January '08 I would need passports. Your suggestion about a cooperating ex-spouse is one of the reasons that I feel I must change my dates.

Choosing a later date will give me more time for flight and cruise... I was so excited about cruising it didn't even enter my mind that 5 days was surely not enough time for flight and cruise!!

I expect to get my days down pat and I can continue my mission....

Thank you, again!

LilAsia
