Default Gulf Coast cruiser seeks roommate for Spring

I'm a 32 year old straight, professional SWF who loves to cruise. My friends aren't much for venturing outside the city, much less country, so I'm hoping to find fellow adventurers here. The ports closest to my home, so my first choices, are Mobile, AL, New Orleans, LA, and maybe Galveston, TX. There are some good and cheap Carnivals going out of the first 2 ports that I really enjoy.

I just bought my first home so I don't have a huge budget for cruises, but the $300 or so ones are just too hard to pass up. I'll be free to take a week off after early March, 2008.

Me on a cruise? I'm always up for doing something new and exciting. Love shore excursions. All shows on board too. And oh, the FOOD! I love the formal dining room. I like to watch the games too. Also read and people watch. I do drink on the cruises, but only to the point of being mildly silly. No drugs. I don't smoke, but as long as you don't smoke in the room I'm fine with it.

Me as a person? I'm a happy, upbeat person. Reasonably outgoing, but I do like my alone time. I tend to get along with most people. Although I am liberal and don't like those intolerant of other races, faiths, etc. Financially I am the ultimate bargain hunter. I like booking shore excursions online ahead of time to save $.

For a roommate I think I would be more comfortable with a woman. Although a man would be ok if he knew that we would ONLY be roommates. Ideally we would email for a while and then speak on the phone before making any reservations.

Let me know if you're interested. It's always a good time for a cruise!

Default Hi

I'm a cruise virgin and you're about my age and it sounds like we might get along. I like to keep to myself a lot but would definitely want to eat dinner with you every night and have a drink or 2. Let me know if you're interested.

That sounds good. What area do you live in? Do you think you'd be interested in shore excursions?

Yes, if you don't mind me tagging along I'd like to try some excursions.

Default Gulf poort departure

Hi HBC32,

I have a similar "cruise style", as they say, to yours. I like the activities on the ship, the people watching, the shore excursions, and I don't drink too much or smoke. I also love the formal dining room and I get a kick out of dressing for dinner and going to the shows. I, too, don't have any friends who would appreciate the cruise experience.

I am not able to take a trip until early June because of my job. However, I would be able to fly to any of the ports you mentioned and I would be happy to visit the gulf and related destinations. I would also be good with doing an economically priced trip.

I am a SWF, 47 (a youthful 47!), and I am active and like exercise and an active lifestyle. I would be fine with doing things together if appropriate or going separate ways as needed.

Let me know your thoughts.
