I wanted to update this before I forget
I have been looking at several cruises
and Have a Balcony Planned for October 17 out of Miami Florida
doing a 7 day Carnival Eastern Caribbean on the Liberty , which was built in 2005.
It visits Half Moon Cay , St Thomas, San Juan Puerto Rico and the Grand Turk.
I am looking for someone that would be interested in SHARING my Balcony on THE LIDO DECK with me ..
current price is $779 but my PVP will give us future discounts and Price drops as they come
So if anyone is military or over 55 this will also adjust the price .

If anyone is interested in booking this with me , the deposit is $250
Please let me know .
Thank you
Carol

Also , I am searching for another Carnival Cruise for early spring - either April or May possibly ...trying to get to Platinum 8)

I did see a SINGLES CRUISE that I may do in MAY ( MEXICAN RIVIERA ), if I can not find a Cruise before then ...

Interviewing ...LoL
Good Choice of words

I approved the yahoo request
The site is just a small message board for my past cruises
and possible upcoming ones
But everyone is allowed to post
So feel free to add whatever you wish to

Febrary I am not too sure about
I start my new vacation time in February , but am not sure about
which date exactly
I will ask today at work to be sure

Default Hello!

Hi-Have you found anyone yet? I am looking for someone for Freedom of the Seas either Feb 8th or Feb 22 departure. I am a SWF, 38, have been on 5 prior cruises with Carnival (2 were salsa dancing cruises as that is my big hobby). Now I would like to try Royal Caribbean, and they have a special rate for these sailings. Let me know if you are still looking. Deb

Hi Carol!

I'm booked for a cruise May 24th out of Tampa. It's booked through singlescruise.com. I asked to be paired up with a cabinmate which I'm guessing won't be done until closer to the date.

I'm a single 40yo female, nonsmoker, very easy going .

The cruise goes to Cozumel, Belize, Grand Cayman and Honduras....7 nights! Not a balcony, inside cabin.

Check it out and let me know if you're interested!

Michelle

Lauderdale departing Saturday, January 24, 2009 of the beautiful new five-star luxury flagship of MSC Cruises, the MV "Orchestra". This elegant high-end, tastefully-designed ship with a European flair, is already recognized for having superb gourmet food in its five restaurants, outstanding entertainment and shows, large forward-facing view health spa and many other special amenities.

Recently christened by Sophia Loren in Italy and having done a few trips in Europe, the ship is now en route to the Caribbean for its inaugural Caribbean voyages. In addition to the ship's attractions, there will be a number of baseball greats sailing on this cruise. You would be sharing stateroom with Harvard MBA/world traveller/pianist who goes on many cruises, sometimes as passenger, for which he gets special rates. Person accompanying him would also receive some free/highly-discounted tours in port, as he will, providing additional savings. Round-trip airfare to Fort Lauderdale from La Guardia costs $200.00 or less total on Jet Blue. Already-paid special insider cruise rate for employees, their families and guests, including $150 port taxes, all government taxes, fees, surcharges, etc., of US $992.68 pp is about half the regular rate for this accommodation, even if it were now available.

Call (212) 628-3206 or e-mail rodrodgers2008@yahoo.com for more details, photos, etc. if interested. Payment can be placed in escrow with manager of Apple Bank in New York pending confirmation by cruise line of your name being added to the existing reservation. Following is some info on the ship and this cruise:

MSC Orchestra––A new jewel rides the ocean.

The MSC Orchestra is a shining gem among cruise ships. In an atmosphere of luxury cruising, she boasts 18 decks, the spacious Body and Mind Spa with serene meditation area and a large fitness center overlooking the bow of the ship. You can choose from five restaurants onboard the MSC Orchestra, including authentic Italian cuisine and the sophisticated Shanghai, the only Chinese restaurant at sea.

Stop by the MSC Orchestra’s Internet Café or take part in a game of tennis or basketball. Relax by the stunning Acapulco pool or the Cala Blanca pool with a massive LED screen for watching movies under the stars. Our state-of-the art cruise ship offers luxurious accommodations, most featuring private balconies.

We welcome you to join our new ship as she sails to exotic and delightful destination on the cruise vacation of your dreams.

Hi Michelle
I checked out the singles cruise that you posted about
I have never done a singles cruise yet
but I was looking at one for May
It is actually through Vacations To Go though
and not sure how much of a differerence there is between the two companies

However the one through VTG is a Mexican Riviera
and is slightly lower in price with VTG
I am not sure what to do
Have you tried either or ?

let me know ...

Hi Carol,

I've never cruised through VTG; only done my own personal cruises with family/friends. This is my first singles cruise and I chose the one with singlescruise.com based on itinerary and from reading some posts. Just got a good feeling about it. I've also read some good feedback about VTG; they both are recommended.

I've been to Cozumel and really loved it; so that attracted me with this cruise. I've never been to any of the others stops though and have been to many other islands. I guess it was a number of factors that helped me decide.

Good luck if you go on the VTG cruise! I'm sure you'll have a blast, especially if you're traveling with people you know. This is a little out of my comfort zone, but I think it's just what I need! Let me know if you end up choosing the one I'm doing....it would be great to meet onboard!

Michelle

Default April 26, 2009 one week cruise on a new ship

Would you be interested in sharing a cabin with a female in our dance group. We are arranging a dance cruise (line dance lessons as well as west coast, east coast, salsa, hustle and two step classes (Beginner to Intermediate level) and have had a couple of cancellations. We have one more week to add people to our group. But you do not have to dance - some people just join us who love to cruise. To share an inside would be $670.00 (includes port charges, taxes, dance activities except air). It is on the new ship Carnival Splendor for a week to the Mexican Riviera and departs out of Long Beach, CA. If interested or if you know of anyone else please let me know and I can give you a contact number. Also we have a couple of inside cabins available also.

I too have the cruise bug. I am serious about finding my first cruise and was primarily interested in the Mex. Riviera 7-day cruise. I like the May timeframe.

I too found the Singles Cruise Michelle talked about 'Western Caribbean' out of Tampa. That actually sounds like the best option. It spans the Memorial Day weekend. I talked to the SingleCruise.com company that is selling that trip and as of today there were 30-singles that have purchased (with an even 50% split: men/women).

I am nervous about a roommate idea as 'you never know'. I am a non-smoker and a social drinker. If you would like to chat more about this I would oblige.

Good Luck.

I am booked on the May 17th cruise with Vacationsto go
Also Shahla from this website is also going
We would love to have more join us , I am sure
They match you up with roommates if you want...
but If you want to pay for your own cabin , you can even through them .
It sounds like a good deal , as there are extra cocktail parties for the singles . Plus extra single activities onboard and on shore.

I am also going to their pre cruise dinner and cocktail party the night before the cruise.
It seems well organized so far.
And will post how it goes , after I return , if anyone is intereted in the info.

Hi Carol,
After over 10 cruises with family or friends or even by myself, I went on my first VTG singles cruise last year. The people were great! Everyone was friendly and ALL of the roommates got along well! (It wasn't until I came back that I noticed over half of my pictures were of the people I met!)
As far as I know the only issues had to do with wake-up times (some people want to sleep in on vacation). I suggest going to every mixer they host. Those private receptions with other VTGers made it so much more than a cruise!

Don

Default still wanna get away in 2010

Departing from Los Angeles, Ca on February 12th, 2010, The 80’s on the Waves Party will sail on board the luxury Carnival Cruise ship PARADISE to Ensenada Mexico, and will be returning on February 15th at 8:00am. I have already reserved inside cabin. They have tribute bands for Depeche Mode, the Cure and Duran Duran. I live in Las Vegas, NV. I am WF age 42. I request non smokers, drinking ok, likes to dance. The cost would be $400.

Default Love to cruise

I would probably be able to go with you in November or Dec. for sure in Jan, Feb and March. Prefer Carnival, they are the most fun.
