Default Anyone interested in a 15 day Transatlantic for $625?

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in taking a Costa cruise on Dec. 5th from Italy and getting to Fort Lauderdale Dec. 20th?It stops off in Malaga, Funchal, Pointe-a-Pitre/Guadeloupe, Saint Maarten, Catalina Island and Nassau.Including port charges and taxes for $625 per person. If this isnt interesting for you I might be interested in other Transatlantics.

HI, Bryan: I just booked this cruise last week. Going with a friend from Phila. I believe the price is still $599.00 plus $50.68 tax, total $649.68 PP/DO for inside guarantee.
It sounds like a good itinerary.
Hope you find a cruise partner. If you book this cruise, let me know, and maybe we could meet on board. JOAN

Default Costa or Celebrity?

I have a post for the Celebrity repositioning Spain to Miami.

The plus for Costa are the Caribbean ports of call rather than Celebrity's Canary Islands.
Other wise, Celebrity is the better bargain even thought the tax is $95 each.

Any comments on Costa? I heard the daily announcements can be annoying in multiple languages.

How to get to Genoa? From London Stansted Ryan Air on Friday the 4th for 3 GBP plus tax. No flight on Saturday.

Or Ryan air to Milan from several air hubs. Milan is not far from the cruise port, but research your trip in advance.

I booked the Costa and very happy with the Caribbean ports of call.
The BETTER BARGAIN depends one's personal circumstances.
I have done 3 T/A's with RCCL in the past year and a half and, although, I enjoyed everyone of them, and would do them, again, in the future, (same ports as Celebrity) this is a change of pace for me.
Where one is flying from and to is the deciding factor in the BARGAIN and if one has FF miles.
For me, personally, flying home, to Phila. is less expensive from FLL than from San Juan.
With AA a FF ticket from JFK (New York) to Milan is 20,000 miles, one way (direct flight).
Costa offers transfers from Milan airport to the ship for $39.00 PP (quite reasonable) for what I understand is 80 + miles. Their transfers from Genoa airport (much closer to the port) is, also, $39.00 PP.
I have been on Cruise Critic site and someone posted that the food and breakfast on Costa is GREAT.
Announcements in different languages, annoying?? One can, always, tune the out. Some other cruise lines, also, announce in different languages, depending on the cruise and itinerary and nationalaties aboard.
The answer is, yes, to research your cruise before booking. Decide what suits you best and which is the BETTER BARGAiN , for you, depending your personal circumstances.
Hope everyone finds a suitable cruise partner and enjoys whatever cruise they decide to take.
JOAN

Default transatlantics

Bryan: Would you be interested in the Navigator of the Seas on April 10 from Miami to Rome? I am 58 y.o. and easy going. I would also be interested in a reverse transatlantic later in the year, Nov-Dec.. Please reply to me one way or the other at plrharmony@live.com Thank You, Peter

Hi Bryan,
It sounds great. I've always wanted to do a transatlantic cruise.
About me; I'm a straight, white american, 54, professional and would be a great companion. Looking to meet people and just have some fun after tax season. Let me know if you'd be interested.
Steve

Default transatlantic

Bryan: I would be very interested in this transatlantic and I have some other possible suggestions. I am easy-going, considerate, and my schedule is flexible. Give me a call at 727-545-3416 and let's see what we can come up with. I have a one-way ticket from Europe that I need to use by the end of the year. I live in Clearwater, Fl. Please call because it is much easier than exchanging email after email. Best Wishes, Peter Richard
