This cruise is on the Brilliance of the Seas...Jan 4 for 14 nights...departs Barcelona, ends in Dubai with ports in Egypt and Jordan. Please check Royal Caribbean website for itinirary details and price. have not booked cabin so any choice is possible.

I have been eyeballing this cruise for quite awhile and DW is taking a year off from cruising when we return from the Radiance in Dec.

Me- 59/MWM who loves cruising so much, purchased a franchise a couple of years ago. Don't smoke BUT I can snore like a bear (on occasion). Back to the plus side, I have over 50 cruise credits with "Royal Caribbean" so I qualify for comp upgrade (if avail).

thanks for the extra info Pearl and Robbie,

How expensive is airfare for these point to point cruises. Are there ever last minute deals on airfare or is it best to book everything a month ahead. That could make a cheap cruise not so great a deal. I'm more a last minute guy as cruising is not my first love, just a nice break sometimes.

I'm not interested in a long cruise anyway unless there is time to find out how compatable two people would be.

This "open-jaw" flight (start/end different airports) isn't too bad IF you are near a major hub. Even "RCI" is only charging around 1,700 from LAX. It is cheaper than that on your own but that usually isn't the case, Robbie

The airfare from Phoenix to Barcelona and back from Dubai was quoted about $1700 which of course includes transfers between airport and dock.
There was a residence rate for balcony that is cheaper than an inside cabin when I checked a couple days ago.

I'm getting $950 on a multi city Kayak search for Phoenix-Barcelona and Dubai-Phoenix.

Use Kayak, Sidestep, Travelpapa. They will all give close to the same prices
Select the multi city button.
