Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum, to the U.S. and to cruises.

I am a 39 years old straight woman from Germany but living in the U.S. for the next couple of years because of my job. I have a German Passport with a 5 year Visa from the NATO.

I would love to see everything from the world but Europe, hehehe.

I am
- open minded
- easy going
- no complainer (and that for a German!)
- non-snorer (I think)
- non-smoker but don't mind other people smoking (not in the cabin though)
- funny and always make the best out of everything.

I like
- dancing
- swimming
- good company
- to laugh

I prefer

- an easy going female person (or more than one, like the "Golden Girls"?)
- age doesn't matter if you don't wanna go to bed by 8 pm .
- non snorer

My top destinations would be
Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, Bahamas, Belize, Caribbean .......what the heck - just about everything!

Not only am I looking for a mate to share the costs but I also don't like to travel by myself and more than that, I don't want to go on a cruise with my friends and their kids during school holidays.

I am free to take vacation days all year.

Ports don't matter either unless their is no airport close by. I'll be flying in from Texas to wherever.

My name is Julie. I am a 30 yo (soon 31) French-Canadian living near Quebec City, Canada. I am looking for 2-3 female roommates for a Canada-New England Cruise in October 2010 aboard the Norwegian Spirit (I have been on this ship twice and I love it – I also get a small discount for many sailing dates since I am a past passenger of this line).
This ship has a few inside cabins that are much larger than the regular ones (200 sq. Ft instead of 149 sq. ft. Allowing for 3 lower berths + 1 upper berth – we would need to go light on the luggage though). For now the price is too high but, last year, this cruise sold for almost nothing at the last minute (with 4 in a cabin, it would cost maybe 400-450$ each, taxes and port charges included, for a port intensive 7-night cruise). Personally, I would LOVE to do the B2B cruise from Quebec City (14-nights) but the one-way Boston to Qc City might also interest me.
Here are the itineraries (it would give you a very good overview of Maritimes Provinces and New England – I have been to most of these places and they are great) : Quebec City, QC - At sea - Sept-Îles,QC - Charlottetown, PEI - At sea - Halifax, NS - Portland, ME - Boston, MA + Bar Harbor, ME - Saint-John, NB - Halifax, NS - Sydney, NS - Corner Brook, NL - At sea - Quebec City

But, it is very important for me that nobody feels any obligation toward our travel companions. Every woman of our group can do whatever she pleases. Of course, if we get along very well, it would be great to share dinner and some excursions but always in the respect of freedom of each other.

Thank you all for your interest. I sent a message to everyone I would be interested to travel with and I am sorry that I am late for any January cruise but I just got back from my christmas vacation. But I'll be open for anything else after January. I have nearly 60 days of vacation left, so let's go!

My favorite destinations for 2010 would be Alaska, Bahamas, Mexican Riviera. I am open for other destinations too. Als long as it is warm because I like to be in the sun.

For Alaska I would like to be in an oceanview cabin, with a balcony or something.

Since this is going to be my first cruise I'd like to start off easy and not travel longer than 7 to 10 days or so. I'd like to be more expierenced first before I go on a longer cruise.

Hi Spectra, I want to go on a 7 day Caribbean cruise after April 20 till May 2010. I am a 55+ outgong lady, I love to have a great time and really enjoy meeting new people. I have cruised 5 times: Hawaii, Alaska, transatlantic, Mediterranean (2 times) but never to the Caribbean.

I was excited when I read your post, it sounds like we have quite a bit in common. Unfortunatley my DH has made the occassional comment, suggesting that I may be a snorer Not really bad, no freight train or chainsaw comparisons but a snorer none the less.

I completely respect your preference for non-snoring types but wanted you to know that I'd be happy to hear from you if you ever get desperate enough to consider night-time ear plugs
