Seeking Cruise Companion

I am a 35 year old (straight) female, non-smoker, social drinker, looking for a cruise companion to go on the 5 day Carnival cruise that leaves from Miami on 2/26/11 heading to Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. I am easy-going and like to try new things. I have been on a couple cruises before. When on the ship I like to relax in the sun, go to the casino, and enjoy cocktails in the evening. During the day I like to spend my time on the islands. Looking for someone probably in the 25-45 y/o age range. I am not expecting someone to spend all their time with me, more interested in reducing the cost of the cabin as compared to getting a cabin by myself. If interested please reply or e-mail me at SOMuskegon@aol.com.

H i there...I am new to the website...I am a 46 yr old married mom of one 7 yr old daughter. My husband's job does not allow him to travel without bidding a year in advance, most of my friends don't have funds or vacation time to take off and so that's led me to take to this site. Non smoker or drinker and no drug use, loads of fun and adventure and most importantly a non snoarer. I am flexible, with a good sense of humor. I am not an early bird, enjoys shows and other onboard activities. Mutal respect of personal space is important. I enjoy meeting all types of people and open to all cultures and beliefs. Can also sit back, relax and enjoy a book. I need a female travel companion who enjoys an adventure, once we arrive, I am fine venturing together or solo due to separate interest, I love bargin shopping and sightseeing...I was really looking for someone to share the room cost on a Princess Cruise on Feb 20 out of San Juan Puerto Rico but with no travel companion I will be subjected to single surcharges and since I have not been able to find anyone to go I have to look at the same trip on March 6th or March 13th, if I can find someone to accompany me. The cruise embarks on 5ports: st thomas; tortola; antiqua; st lucia and barbados; 2 days per port. $399 inside cabin and $429 outside cabin. who is ready to take an adventurous warm trip of 2011. Are you set on your cruise?? or are you open to other options??

Sheyba,
I am kind of set on the cruise to Jamaica and the cayman islands only because I took a similiar cruise out of PR in 2009 and visited all of those places with the exception of tortola. I am pretty much in the same boat as you except my boyfriend doesn't really have the funds or vacation time to travel and my friends are all married with families and can't really get away. I am not having much luck finding anyone to travel with me on this cruise on 2/26. Good luck in your search. thanks, Sarah.

oh one other problem is air to San Juan--it is really high in money and miles from lax for me...

There is another poster in the forum looking for a mate on the summit out of San Juan, maybe you should contact her.

happy travels,
Laura

Hi Laura....I am open to any cruise line....I have gone on NCL and royal carribean via Los Angeles to Mexico....I just love to travel and want to go all the time, not sure why I love to travel so much but I do. As far as the airfare expense to SJ PR, I found an option, I would fly from SFO to Florida either Fort Lauderdale, Tampa or Orlando via a SWA pass $50 and then fly spiritair.com the fare was $190 RT, so that makes the trip affordable, otherwise your right the fare could be very expensive. Any particiular cruise that you were looking at??

Hi Sarah...thanks for responding....the cruise out of SJ PR just looked like a lot of fun and it had so many stops I just thought I could see so many places on what cruise. I am open to any cruise as long as its affordable and has a few stops...I have lots of flexibility and can go whenever, so let me know the details of your trip, its not to late for me to accompany you, I just need to know the cost and itinerary and then I will let you know. Thanks Monica

Monica, when I called last night it was 744 total for two people (they said it was a 72 hour sale) in an inside cabin with upgrades (d/t being past guest). 5 day cruise 1 day in Jamaica, 1 day in the Cayman Islands, 2 days at sea. It is carnival cruiseline leaving out of Miami on 2/26-3/3. I haven't booked yet just because I am not sure if I want to travel alone. I could do other dates but at the time this one was the best deal. Let me know what you think.
