Seeking cabin mate May 2, 2011
Just checking to see if there's any interest out there for the 5-day Carnival Destiny cruise departing in 11-days' time.
I'm a pretty laid back, non-smoking male in my 30s and have friends/family who will be on this cruise. One of the party had to bail so I am checking to see if there's any interest out there. Good luck to you all and Happy Cruising!!! |
Just realized that I didn't mention the port of departure: Miami, Florida.
Ports include Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay and Nassau. |
Hi....we have a singles group on Valor really inexpensive for May 1....great ports too
more fun with a group JMO.. |
I am interested. Would you consider sharing a room with a 50 yr old woman? I am traveling by myself and need some me time, so I think this might work out. I'm very down to earth, jeans and t shirt type of person, who just wants to relax, read, gamble etc. Not really looking to do much with others on the ship anyway. What do you think?

They did say that people do cancel, so I will be checking the website tonight and tomorrow to see if an Interior cabin opens up but since I have to fly across the continent to Miami, I think I only have until Friday to make a final decision. |
I have cruised with Carnival a lot and have had that last minute cruise fever a few days before a cruise. If you are serious about cruising on the Destiny(nice ship) then I would indeed call carnival asap and ask to be put on a waitlist. If again you are serious you can offer to put down a deposit showing you are a serious inquiry. A lot of times you will get that magic call and your on the ship.
But if you are flying a ways to miami then for your airfare especially last minute may cost you a nifty penny. |

Regarding the flights, I have a couple of friends in the airline business so I am able to fly somewhat last minute on their buddy passes and at a pretty decent price. I would have attempted to arrive in Miami on the Saturday, which would allow a couple of days leeway just in case there were any hiccups. I did see pictures of the Carnival Destiny and you are totally correct, the ship looks like a very nice ship! I'm sure I'll be kicking myself by the time departure time for the boat arrives lol. Thanks for the interest shown in my thread to all of you and happy cruising! |
