how do you delete your thread

does anyone know how to delete a thread that you created that you no longer need?
I get the impression this may be a consideration of a lot of thread creators as there appears to be alot of old threads or past cruise date threads still listed,

Once it's there it stays forever.

If you would post a link to the thread, or an email to customerservice@cruisemates.com we'd be happy to delete the thread if it's old, and there's no follow up conversations in it that are not pertinent.

The problem is more with people who start a thread, then are NEVER heard from again and somehow newbies keep replying to it for the next 3 years. Would be nice to program an automatic delete after maybe 3 months if no one replies, or after 6 to 12 months (on the "Seeking Companion" forum at least) irregardless of how many replies if the thread starter never returns to make another post on the thread.

I second the motion!! Some of the "Seeking companion" old posts are so passe. As stated, so many OP's never return, new people go into archives and don't see the original posting date, and ask about a cruise that sailed 1-2 years ago, then wonder why they get no response back.
