Thanking all of you terrific potential cruise mates for your interest in my upcoming Celebrity Solstice Transatlantic sailing and other future cabin-share sailings.

I am now all set, looking forward to enjoy a well priced starboard balcony in hopefully fair weathers and have no new plans until November 2012 at the earliest.

Until then, wishing all of u fair winds and smooth sailings.

I found a roommate last fall for a TA on mariner of the seas. Worked out fine. Flexibility and common courtesy is the key.

Good luck all and happy planning

Many, actually most, are cruise specific to areas or price ranges that are not in our mental nor pocketbook agenda. Me, skip transatlantics (I just don't see getting a cheap price, but pay double to fly home), I have no interest in Europe nor mediterranean (yet others have been Caribbeaned out).
I have cruised 3 times with someone since meeting on a solo cruise.
There are currently 2 cruisers needing a roomie, as I do too. Both are on my wish list itinerary. Life sometimes steps in the way and cannot go.
So, it's likely not you.

May I suggest that the length of the trip may be an issue?

I have found 2 roomies via this site and we are still in touch. In fact only today we were discussing land vacation plans. I took early retirement but my roomie is resticted to 15 days vacation - so I think others may have the same issue.

For me , apart from the fact I am already booked solo - I found a very good deal, the Ryndam for 35 days is a deal-breaker.

I think what Ruthless is true - your aspirations must may suit someone else but always.

Now don't flame me but I think many US cruisers prefer shorter cruises with a return to same port? I could be wrong.

Also I think you have to try and post as far in advance as possible - it permits folk to plan.

Good Luck

Annie

I am considering stringing a few 7day+ together but like the convienance of being on the same ship for a month, plus the cost can't be beat. Also if I take 3x12 day cruises then I need to find 3 roomies lol.

Cost isn't everything - if you repost splitting the overall trip into sectors, you may be more successful.

If I remember correctly, someone posted a trip like that a couple of years ago and succeeded in finding different roomies for different sectors and he retained the same cabin.

better luck on Travel Companion Travel Buddy Matching Site - TravelChums.com I guess it's where people want to go==no one wants to go with me. I would go with you to Barcelona, but I used to live there. the singles cruises are the best to go on because you are in a group of people that actually do functions together.

Happy Cruising

I'm currently in the process of booking my third cruise with someone from this site. It's been three different people, not because any of us were hard to get along with, but because two of you have to want the same type of cruise, type of cabin and price range, and both be available at the same time.

The posts I do NOT respond to are those that provide virtually no information about the person posting, or what they're looking for; and those that are obviously looking for a party partner.

Thumbs up Success!

Have cruised several times with both male and female companions through this site over the last 5 years!

In I fact met my ex-girlfriend here and we cruised and traveled the world for over 3 years!

Again, I'm looking for a cruise partner for a possible Transatlantic crossing in mid April 2012.
