Default Female serial cruiser seeking same

Looking for a female cabin mate interested in sharing a cabin?

I am wanting to Plan a 7 day or longer cruise in the Caribbean (preferrably Southern) before the years end. I am a non smoker and non druggie looking for same. I do drink one or two a day while cruising but not to get drunk. I like to dance in the night clubs because I love music and movement, not to pick up men. I love the beaches and the sun. My friends cannot afford cruising, don't have the same vacation times or won't leave their husbands that long. I am a straight married female and my husband wants no part of cruising or the beaches. I love to dress up for formal evenings and also like to do or watch some of the silly activities on board.

No pressure to hang out together 24/7, but would love to share a cabin so we can both avoid those criminally high single-room supplemental rates. I am keen to book a room very soon so would love to hear from another female who might share my passion for cruising.

My dream cruise would have one stop in Aruba or even an Hawaiian cruise some day. More importantly I am in search of finding some cruise mates (straight female only) that would like to plan together to go on cruises (2 or 3) per year. We do not have to plan every activity together while on our cruise but if there was some mutual interest to do an activity or two a day that would be a bonus. You won't find me reading a book by the pool, but it would not bother me to cruise with someone who does. I will most likely be the one people watching while sipping a frozen drink by the pool. I would also be the one that went to ALL the sit down dinners each evening. I would be at the blackjack table, especially on non-smoking night in the casino. I would also try my luck entering into the blackjack tournament. I enjoy all types of entertainment shows: comedy, magician, music performances etc. And you would most likely see me in one of the night clubs dancing for about an hour when the music is lively. I would use my cabin only to sleep and shower and dress. I book the cheapest inside cabins so that I can spend my money on other parts of my cruise.

Is there anyone out there that share a similar desire to cruise but have no-one they can cruise with?

I am also in the same situation as you and I am looking for a cruise companion as well. I am a cruise agent and get alot of good promotions and good agent rates so I can take a comanion with me as well. I am 55 years old and love to cruise and most of my friends only like land vacations. My husband doesn't get the chance to get away from work very often and I am looking for the same as you are. Email me and we could talk.

I like everything you said and am looking for someone to go to the Caribbean with this year too! I would love to go to Aruba or do the Panama Canal too. I am very flexible with dates and cruise lines. If interested in any particular cruise let me know and I will check it out.

Talking Me, me, me!

ME! I am SO addicted to being on the ocean! I love cruising and have been on about 40 cruises; most with my husband, some with my BFF, and some all by my poor little self. I am a married female, but my husband finds it difficult to schedule time off from work. I will not cruise with any male other than my husband. I cannot have a roomie who smokes. I am a non-drinker (too expensive), 60'ish in reality, 30's mentally. I love to play the goofy games on board like Trivia, Name that Tune, etc. but laying in a quiet place with my ipod for games or reading is hunky-dory too. I am going on a cruise with my BFF the end of November and it goes to Princess Cay, Aruba and Curacao! GREAT itinerary, and we got a great deal before the prices went up. I prefer to leave out of either Galveston or Fort Lauderdale.

I think we're in the same boat (hahaha) about friends being too busy, not wanting to leave their poor, defenseless husbands at home, etc.

On port days I like to do a little shopping (maybe) then head for a beach for laying around and snorkeling if I can find a snorkel buddy. Depending on the difference in price I can be perfectly happy with an inside cabin, but of course I prefer a view. I don't overdo fancy nights because I can't wear high heels, and am pretty casual. I look forward to talking and laughing, but don't feel like we have to be together 24/7. In the evening I would rather bundle up in my robe and watch TV unless the show sounds really good. I also like the penny slots but have to limit my time in the casino because of the smoky smell.

I think the most important thing to me in finding a cabin mate is to find someone who smiles and laughs a lot. I love to talk but I avoid talking about religion or politics.

Seven-day cruises are best for me, but I might consider 8 or 9 if the price, the itinerary and travel partner are great. I love to laugh and have fun and hope to find another female like me.

Wow! I loved your post, as well as many of the other gals who responded too! I'm a single (almost 41 year old) cruise lover too, and have difficulties finding someone who has my passion for the middle of the ocean! I would love to find a straight, female friend to join me, as many of my friends are married with children and other commitments. I'm fortunate to have the time and funds (usually for an inside cabin, since those are the best deals), but need the roomie! I've been on 18 cruises and am looking to increase that number with 7 day or much longer sea-ventures! Let me know...

This sounds WONDERFUL, and I'd love to pursue something. We sound a lot alike, but at this time I can only look at 7-nighters, possibly 5, if out of Galveston, or 6.

I already have something booked for late November, and I'm trying DESPERATELY to get good seats to see Paul McCartney on November 14th. (Fat, humongus chance of THAT happening.)

Did you have anything in mind?
