37F for Carnival Freedom (Ft.Ld) 8 day on April 20, $656pp

Hello there!

This is my second time searching for a cruise mate. Looking to go on the Carnival Freedom 8 day cruise leaving from Ft. Lauderdale, priced at the lowest rates is $656pp which includes govt taxes and all that good stuff.

About Me: I am a straight married white female looking for another female companion, i don't care if you're straight, gay, bi, single, married, old, young, snore, or sleep with your teddy bear :-P...I'm not picky. I sometimes cruise with my husband and almost adult son, but my husband works too much, so here I am. I'm from Chicago, so it doesn't matter which cruise port I depart from. I am a part-time Nuclear Med Tech and full time house wife. I am a nonsmoker/nondrinker, I don't snore, and I'm respectful. I'm pretty straight-laced. If you drink or smoke it doesn't bother me either way.

I'm very easy to work with, I'm definitely not the dominant one in a group, but I'm very easy to talk to. I like to have fun doing excursions like city tours and parasailing. I am not really a clingy person, so if you want to do your own thing on the cruise, that's fine with me, or if you want a companion to do things with, I'll be there.

I want to save money when I travel, so I'm looking at booking an interior room only, (who actually spends much time in the room afterall) ;)

I met a great lady on here who has told me how this works with cruisemates, and I may go with her on a cruise, so I'm pretty confident this can work and we will have a great time save some money while we're at it.

Also, just to note: I want to do back to back cruises, like two 7 day back to back or a 6 and an 8 day back to back. It saves me money on airfare.

Can't wait to hear what everyone has to say! Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

Happy Cruising everyone!

Debbie

Hi I'm 28/f and live in florida. I'm interested in finding out more about the cruise. I'm not sure how this works so I will need some guidance. I'm in need of a vacation and april is perfect for me.

How cruise mates works

So, about the cruise mates and how it works:

We would find a travel agent, we can use one that you know of or one that I know of, or we may even be able to book directly through carnival. But from what I understand, Travel Agents are sometimes cheaper. So once we agree who to use to book our cruise, we would each give them a call and book our portion of the cruise, and separately give our credit card info. Then, at check in we would each have our own sail n sign accounts. If you're not familiar with the sail n sign account I'll explain it: When you're at the port checking in, you give the person checking you in either cash or your credit card, and they give you a card which you use throughout the ship. It's used as your id, you can use it to buy things, buy drinks, gamble, buy excursions. It's an all in one card. You and I would each have our own card and we wouldn't have access to each others cards.

The lady I just recently booked a cruise with here on cruise mates suggested this to me for personal valuables like money, passport, jewelry: We can each have our own little safety envelope (which they sell at walmart, like a money envelope with a lock on it) and then we would be able to store both of our things in the in-room safe.

Easy as that!! :D

Feb 3 - 10 I'll be sailing the seas, but when I return on Feb 10 I will be sure to get back to any inquiries. Thanks!! :) Still looking to do this April 20th cruise.

Just got back from Carnival Legend. Great trip! And I'm ready to go again on the Freedom out of FLL on April 20th, 8 days. I will book either an interior or an ocean view. I'll book around March 1.

Hi Debbie,
I'm heading to Miami in April and am interested in doing some cruising in the Caribbean. Unfortunately I can't do the 20th sailing due to a prior commitment which is my whole reason for being in Miami, but there is a 21st sailing out of Miami, 7 days, and I was hoping to do a back-to-back cruise on the same ship on the 28th, also out of Miami.

I'm a 40F female from Australia and this will be a small portion of a much larger holiday I have planned for this year - thus I am very keen to save any money I can on this cruise.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Debbie, i also placed my adds also on here and had good experience; financially I could do back to back cruises from starting 30th March or 6th April..no problems - even on different ships would love it ..

but i think at the moment the 20th april to late for me to start cruising also might consider it if i do not find sth else.

I am working career (IT Industry Sales Manager) Woman from Europe - have done this before and your add sounds fantastic to me - i am available for skyping if your are intereseted message me

Krickett, This is very possible for me. I am waiting to hear from someone else, and if I don't hear back from them by March 1, then maybe we can arrange something. I will PM you. DeckDiva, thanks for the interest, but the dates don't work out for me. I will be working the first 2 weeks of the month so end of April is the only possibility for me :-/

dfs85302 February 20th, 2013 11:25 PM

I found a cruise mate on here for April 21, so this post is no longer valid. Thanks to all who responded! I will be sure to post on my 2 cruise mates cruises once I'm done sailing.

Bummer for me. I was interested. Single mature Female in the Metro Detro Michigan Area. April is my birth month and this would have been perfect. Let me know if it doesn't work out.
