SWF, 56, self-employed professional looking for cabin mate on a longer HAL cruise. My first choice is the 14 night Southern Caribbean on the Masdam. It has a super port call. I'd consider a partial Panama Canal on the Zuiderdam, and maybe 14 nights doing back to backs out of Fort Lauderdale.
I like to go to late fixed sitting, go to the shows, and mostly kick back and read and tan. I love to go to the beaches and/or go snorkeling. I would most likely be flying in the day before. I am a 3 start Mariner.
The March 28th sailing of the Maasdam looks a little pricey (overall, not commenting on the per night price) but it does look very interesting. Feel free to message me, if you decide this is the trip for you and I might be persuaded that the Caribbean needs me next spring.
I forgot to mention that if I book a trip on my AMEX platinum card, I get a 3 category discount. The price for the December 6 departure of the Masdam is around $1199, which is pretty good for 14 nights of HAL.
Oops! I actually get a three category upgrade for free with my AMEX platinum card. Other perks include a free dinner at the Pinnacle for two, and a free bottle of wine for the cabin. Upgrades remain with the same category (inside to inside), but there is always the hope of a complimentary upgrade. The last cruise with HAL, I went from a totally obstructed ocean view to a suite!
I don't snore or smoke. I am mainly an early riser, and go to bed around 11 or 12. I don't go to the casino. The snorkeling on Bonaire is absolutely amazing, and that is the main reason I am looking at the December 6 Masdam. I will post prices when I get them from my TA.
I have booked a Category H obstructed view cabin on a guarantee basis. This is on the Masdam December 6 sailing. It is a 14 night Southern Caribbean cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. This gets upgraded to a minimum of a Category F. The price is $2099 for a single with $150 shipboard credit.
