Default Found a cruise companion-now who pays first

This is to help aid in the transparency of booking a cruise together.
i assume the easist way of paying for it is determining who will be primary.
While paying deposit and cruise in full at time of travel agent booking.
I do not see any financial risks... do you...

I believe both should get the travel agent to discuss the arrangements for booking on 3-way phone call. Both parties should have all their questions answered together. Pay at that time also. Then agent could disconnect and cabinmates could continue discussing their concerns with sharing cabin.

Had one a while ago. Did it with a 3 way conversation in general, but when credit card numbers were given, they went to the agent so no numbers were available to the other party.

My online TA accepted to take my half and ''hold'' the cruise booking and my money until the other person called (within 24 hours, but she called within the hour). Should the other person not make the payement, I would have been reimbursed by the TA.

She gave me a booking number but I got a written confirmation only when both parties were paid in full (we had to pay in full at time of booking).

i no longer pay anything for anybody. Been stuck too many times. Never stuck paying for a cruise though. But, i just gave my travel agent book us separately and make sure that when we book they have contact. If all information is not given then we don t go. Very simple
