In Nassau I would head over to the straw market, they have some great handmade totes that you can use to shlep all your goodies home..They also have handcarved figures if you like that type of craft...In San Juan, if you are lucky to be ther on a Saturday, they have a craft fair, by the fountain at the tourist information kiosk...They have a wonderful assortment of hand made goods. In St. Thomas stock your bar with the local rum.Prices are great and they have so many delicious flavors its hard to choose... Bon Voyage....Trip/ Friday Chat Host
Darlene, there should be some good shopping lectures scheduled on your cruise ship in the theater, which are also broadcast into the cabins via the TV, to listen to. They will name names, and tell you what bargains are out here and at what shops. Be sure to listen to these lectures, and they are also usually taped for replay several times before you get into port. Each cruise line does this! There will tell you WHICH shops are trustworthy. Also, there are usually a list of the good shops and a map indicating where it is in the port city you will be at, in the ships lounge somewhere. Happy hunting, and Bon Voyage!
