Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday 6am-3pm. I know not many people will cruise to Hawaii, but this place is a bargainer's delight.
We did a land cruise last week and had a blast at the swap meet. The regular vendors have all new stuff. How about 10 souvenier T-shirts for $20. Logo baseball caps for $5 each. Shell leis, 12 for $3, wooden turtles, whales, elephants, dolphins, you name it, they got it. The more you buy from one vendor, the more he takes off. Cash talks. We bought about $300 (label price) from one guy for $100 cash. We found laser engraved Russian lead crystal for $8 each, price at the Hilton was $65 for the exact same item (same guy too.)
Nuts, dried fruits, wasabe peas and all kinds of munchies at 25-75% off grocery store prices.
On our trip to Hawaii last October we stopped at Aloha Stadium and did all our souvenir shopping. Kids outfits were $6 and $8 that were three times as much in the stores, we each ended up with 5 tee shirts from the 10 for $20 vendors and we bought everything else for our family at prices that were probably a third of what they were in Honolulu.
We stayed for about 90 minutes and got everything we needed. Gram figures we saved a couple of hundred dollars .
We stopped in on the way back from Pearl Harbor as they are essentially right next to each other.
We were stationed in Oahu from 1986-1989. When family would come to visit from the mainland the flea market was one of our usual stops for shopping alaong with Hilo Hatties! Also the luau at Hidden Cove was wonderful. A tad pricey but without a doubt the best on the Island at the time.
Don't know about "Heirloom Hawaiin", but there are a lot of jewelery vendors. An awful lot of pearls, silver and jade, but never looked to closely at the gold.
Don't forget to haggle and if they won't meet your price, then walk on down the row. There are so many vendors selling similar stuff that they don't want you to leave the tent because you're liable to find something 50% less just down the row - and jewelery prices vary a lot. We found Jade bracelet prices to vary from $50 down to $10 on ones that sure looked identical.
Most vendors will take 20-30% off their tag price right away (except on the real cheap stuff like t-shirts or shell leis). Buying multiple items always helps the prices as well.
Have fun, wear sunscreen, drink water, bring cash and plan to spend a long time.
